MTV Asia Awards – Vanness not aiming to develop as a
host How do you feel about hosting this year’s MTV Asia Awards? I’ll do well, I don’t feel nervous about hosting this year’s MTV Asia Awards. I felt really confound when the organization asked me to be the host of this year’s MTV Asia Awards. I’ve never hosted such a big event in the past before. I will try very hard. This time I have a new hairstyle. Previously I had long hair. Now it’s cut short. This short hair only took 20mins to be done. I wanted to come and host the MTV Asia Awards with a relaxed appearance. The feeling after leaving F4 After F4 has gone solo, every artist would vary. From performing to appearance there will be changes. I wish to grow up, to mature and I also think I need more individuality. F4 gave me a lot. It was the beginning of my entertainment career; henceforth my career’s starting point. Going solo, I won’t forget the past. I still have lots of feeling and care with F4. F4 will also not disband. It’s just that everyone is doing their own individual things at the moment. Everyone wants to develop on our own qualities, to give more prominence to our specialties. Just developing our distinguishing features respectively. After hosting MTV Asia Awards, what field will you be developing in from now on? Is it hosting? I don’t want to develop towards a host; I still want to pay attention to my singing. My Chinese isn’t that good, but this time’s MTV Asia Awards need to use English. Since I grew up in America my English is very good. Therefore I hosted an event that used English. This time’s MTV Asia Awards was aiming to be free flowing, a free, relaxed hosting style. Regarding my partner being Michelle Branch, I feel very remarkable. I listen to her songs regularly. I didn’t know how it would be hosting with Michelle Branch. If we coordinate well we would definitely do spectacular. We barely saw each other and didn’t have much preparation time. I hope we work well together. How are you going to do well with the task of hosting MTV Asia Award? I will be using various kinds of ways to excite the crowd. I originally wanted to wear leisure apparel but since this is a very big and grand event I prepared some formal clothes. As for the colors, I can’t reveal it yet. It’ll definitely be tints in riotous profusion, but I won’t be wearing pink clothes because I don’t like pink. Valentine’s Day is being with the person you love with a very affectionate dinner and chatting. If I didn’t have the job of hosting MTV Asia Awards this Valentine’s I would certainly be in America recording room recording for my new Mandarin album. It’s prepared to be released during the summertime. Therefore it’s surely going to be work. Michelle Branch What's your evaluation on Vanness Wu? Vanness is a very humorous and very easygoing person. We have seen each other once during departure; it was a very short period of time. We crossed the street together. Vanness didn’t walk. I walked first. I saw many people surrounding Vanness wanting his autograph, giving him flowers. I knew that he was very famous. After hosting with Vanness this time we establish a very good friendship. If it wasn’t for this, I also wouldn’t have ever thought I would need to know Chinese guys and have such a good friendship with him.
