I know Im very late but I just looked at the list of noms for the Globes and was surprised to see she was nominated! That's such an incredible thing for her because she's in such honourable company! She's young, yet to recieve a nomination is great!

though she may not have won, it is so great that she was nominated and categorized in the same league as her contenders.

I knew that there was a small chance that she would win...not because she wasnt good enough its juts that the other performances were by women that are much older and recognized to the voters...she is young she still has tim
and isnt it weird that she was in the same category as Nicole Kidamn who Evan played a younger version of in Practical Magic and i loved her dress, the colour lookes good on her here r some more (smaller) pics i just find it funny that Corrs(sp?) bear logo is in the background...underage drinking?!?! Evan looked great last night - very adult and glamourous - very much like an old time movie star and there are very few of them these days (like Cate Blanchett, Nicole Kidman). I didn't expect her to win -from the buzz on "Monster" and the way award shows gush over beautiful actresses who can transform themselves into unbeautiful roles (as Halle Berry did in "Monster's Ball") I'd say this is Charlize Theron's year (and I like her too so I'm okay with that). Evan will be back, this is just the beginning for her.
The best part is Evan (and her parents and managers) seem to really know who how to pick roles for her. No cheesy cornball teen flicks (that I can tell from IMDB) on the horizon for her unlike say the equally talented Scarlett Johannsen who's following up 2 Golden Globe noms with a been-there-done-that teen flick like "The Perfect Score". Go, ERW! |

Evan will have many more chances though and when Thirteen is released on DVD an even bigger fan base. Of course if Disney/Touchstone would get around to releasing seasons 2 and 3 of Once and Again all the people who never got a chance to see it the first time can see a STAR develop before their eyes just as OandA watchers did the 1st time around. some film news....
Jennifer Connelly will star will real-life husband Paul Bettany in the adaptation of Philip Roth's novel AMERICAN PASTORAL. The two will play a successful couple (he an athlete, she Miss New Jersey) who marry and eventually are torn asunder by the actions of his daughter, played by Evan Rachel Wood (THIRTEEN). When the daughter, an anti-war activist, blows up a post office and accidentally kills a doctor, she goes into hiding and the couple are tortured not knowing how their daughter is or even if she is alive. All three actors were possible candidates for Academy Award nominations - Connelly for HOUSE OF SAND AND FOG, Bettany for MASTER AND COMMANDER and Wood for THIRTEEN - but all three fell short. PASTORAL will be the second adaptation of a Philip Roth novel in recent memory with THE HUMAN STAIN opening to a disappointing reception. Philip Noyce (THE QUIET AMERICAN) will direct the film from a script by John Romano. Connelly will next film the horror flick DARK WATER for Disney and Bettany has WIMBLEDON with Kirsten Dunst set for release later this year. sounds like an interasting film *iva* |

Evan was "judged" by the E! Fashion Police aka
Joan and Melissa Rivers THE 2 DEVILS the 2 devils liked the dress. the other fashion guy said it was missing something and that she's too young to be wearing Prada, but Joan and Melissa defended her. All in all they liked it. Melissa stated that Evan said [while standing in front of the press] "I feel like a dork." *iva* |
