Maleficent did have a closed storyline at the end of their movie!

though Disney does love to recreate movies in sequels

I do hope they make the story work in the 2nd Maleficent. It seems kind of dramatic to be a huge villian just because you don't approve of a wedding but that's how it works in Disney World

Michelle's character seems evil and I think Maleficent will wants to protect Aurora from her

Don't get me wrong, I liked Maleficent I just don't think it needed a sequel. As opposed to Salt which was set up to have a sequel and was a great movie.

okay

I really liked both but the story definitely needed finishing in the case of Salt.

I'm not sure how it did in box office, can't remember but I haven't heard any confirmation about it in a long time
