Sigh, manager just texted and said the church changed their minds, they said since there’s no ASP, we aren’t getting paid while I get the church’s point, they applied and got money from the government to be able to keep paying staff while they are closed, where is that money going if they aren’t using it to pay their workers

They should pay you since they got that money from the government for that reason

I applied for unemployment just because who knows when we’ll be able to go back to work and technically it’s my right since they decided they weren’t paying us, at least the unemployment gives you something while I look for a temp job

they should, plus it’s frustrating because they told us we would be paid then changed their minds, that shouldn’t be okay

I hope so or manager can come up with a reopening plan so we can still reopen the after school safely with schools closed

And I filed just in time, since they stopped taking new applications until October

I did hear the school district is moving forward with their hybrid plan for fall, but they haven’t submitted their plans to be able to reopen yet

I hope so, crossing fingers for possibly October or early November at the latest, I don’t think there’s any point if it’s late November or December because there’s not that many weeks left of school before they have winter break

Especially when they get the entire week of Thanksgiving off anyway, so I don’t think there’s a point in opening school for just 2-3 weeks before winter break I mean if it doesn’t open this semester, I’m crossing fingers for next semester in January, I don’t think kids or parents can take a full school year and a half of distance learning
