But still I get that it’s dark out but you need to be paying attention when you drive especially when you’re near a school, because kids will run into the street- sometimes not even at a crosswalk

I don’t know how they can make it safer since it’s a 4 way stop

there’s crosswalks on all four sides too

It’s also the 4th time something like this has happened with our kids- two the kids were walking after parents picked them up from the program and the drivers weren’t paying attention, one was a car accident where the driver again wasn’t paying attention and hit one of the parents cars, the other was a drunk driver that hit one of the parents cars as the kid was about to get in, it all turned out okay and no kid was seriously hurt

Other than adding a stop light, I don’t see how they can make it safer than it is, it’s just distracted drivers

They could station cops at one of the corners too since it’s like two blocks down from a police station but I don’t think they would

This is personally why I get pissed and annoyed at people for walking without a flashlight at night. I feel the same to those who drive with no headlights at night.

I always carry a flashlight

And seriously distracted drivers are just as bad, it just takes one split second where they are glancing at a phone or take their eyes off the road for something to happen
