Sam Winchester SPN S13 - Episode Discussion Thread #1: 13x13 - "Devil's Bargain"

Lost and Found
October 12th 2017
The CW

THEY’RE BAAACKK… — Season 13 begins exactly where we left off, with Sam (Jared Padalecki) and Dean (Jensen Ackles) left to pick up the pieces after the loss of their mother, the demise of Crowley (Mark Sheppard) and the heartbreaking death of Castiel (Misha Collins). The birth of Jack (Alexander Calvert) leaves the Winchester brothers with differing opinions on how to deal with a Nephilim. After being dragged into the breach, Mary (Samantha Smith) must learn to survive Lucifer (Mark Pellegrino) and an apocalyptic world.

Ok, so what did you think? I actually got to watch it live :yay:
Loved my thoughtful Sam & impulsive Dean (shoot first ask questions later). I'm intrigued by Jack. I think he could do good because of the human side of him. Though I'm not a huge fan of Cas as of late, but I liked the way he chose Cas as his father rather than Lucifer.
Though it was meant to be a tear jerker at the end, I had a little trouble connecting, I guess because I know Cas will be back.
I look forward to seeing how Sam & Dean "father" Jack :look:
Now, for Mary... *sigh* I couldn't help but think of Lucifer impregnating her with his child in order to get back when he said he could use her  And where is this supposed war? Didn't look like anyone came to investigate any activity

S13 was a good season opener. I liked it better than s12 opener.

I love my Sam and his scenes with Jack and damn Dean hurting knuckles yikes. All three guys needs hugs.

True I agree Chris I felt a slight disconnect in that scene too. I think its because we know Cas will be back. Sam telling Jack to say goodbye was good though.

Ugh Mary & Lucifer in the AU world. :look:

albion_princess 10-14-2017 11:12 AM

I got to watch it today. :)

I really enjoyed and I wondering if Jack's going to be evil and was quite surprised when he said that Cas was his father?

I didn't believe that Cas is gone for good, but I also liked Sam Telling Jack to say bye to him was good.

I don't really know what's going on with Mary and Lucifer, maybe he's going to find a way to get back and find his son?

Alright episode. I loved the Jack & Dam scemes and yheit talk and Sam offering the bed to Jack amd he would take the couch. Denn needs to chill on being so hash on Jack for now . Mary & Lucifer were meh together but I like the new Micheal.

magikhands1 10-22-2017 06:36 PM

This was an interesting episode. I like Jack's character so far. So naive, yet there's a goodness as well. I'm hoping that his human side can overcome any evil who look to use him. But I see Dean's point of view too
Wasn't too thrilled about Mary & Lucifer storyline. And I have to wonder what Michael wants with them though.
As for the new "king of Hell"... eh, not too crazy about him either.

Good points Chris. Ugh Mary and Lucifer boring together  and I wonder what Michael wants too.

Omg Jack and Sam are awesome together. :thud:

I really like Jack, and I'm wondering if he's going to turn evil, but I also see Dean's point of view. I love how Sam is with Jack, though.

I enjoyed the episode, and I also want to know what Michael wants.

quin0611 11-03-2017 06:26 AM

I'm excited to hear your thoughts on the episode Chris. :)

Pretty good episode. :) Good Jack and Sam scenes. I'm so happy Sam told Jack he cares about him amd told him sorry about trying to get Mary back and telling him he wanted his help.

I'm glad sort of came around to Jack and told Dean told Jack he did good.I'm also very glad Dean said sorry to Sam for his behavior too. I'm also glad Sam got to express his point of view about Mary and Dean had a bond with her and he didn't.

magikhands1 11-03-2017 06:59 PM

I really liked this episode. But then I like any episode that is centered with the boys getting their stuff straight with each other. That scene at MIa's when Sam & Dean are going back & forth about the loss of their mom was great
I'm also rooting for Jack :cheerleader: Please, please let him be a good guy
And Cas is back ... Not sure how I feel because I wasn't crazy of the direction of character last couple of seasons. Im hoping his appearance doesn't screw up the work Sam has been doing with Jack.
