She's a character that we meant in Star Trek: Generations - first move based off The Next Generations Kirk and Picard, where Kirk was stuck in a time where time wasn't moving. So two Captains

It's not a sequel, Lauren. Star Trek II: The Wrath of Khan is from the original 80's movie series.

Yes Nero is from the future and soon we get to see our Original Spock played by Leonard Nimoy - the one that played him in original series 50 years ago who died after 2nd movie before 3rd movie
