Nah man! Jessica and Nikki were sisters but not twins and Jessica death is what drove Nikki to be as depressed as she eventually became. It's a death that Nikki couldn't get over.
It's probably what eventually Nikki made the whole alter ego, the traumatic stuff she saw when she was younger.

Nikki probably saw Jessica abused when she was younger and of course she never did anything to stop it.

And why would Peter have a scar if he heals?
