Never did I imagine that this show would have taken off so far and so well! Needless to say, I considered this ship as totally UC until the later half of Season One. Okay...so I've been thinking. I want to compile a good Niki/Peter Soundtrack. I want to make this composite because for future fanvids as well as a list of music to publish into a playlist for people to access online eventually Let me know

UC means, Unconventional Couple...like pairings that are unlikely to ever happen on the show but it's okay in fandom. For example...I dunno...like if someone was a shipper of...I dunno...like Simone and Ted. We know it probably won't ever happen, but there might be someone who is a fan. lmao.

Basically, when I made the first thread, I knew immediately that it might not be a couple that will happen because we didn't know that Peter and Claire were uncle/niece AND that Nathan was going to stay with his wife, etc.

So I'm pretty excited and happy to see that Kring has FINALLY decided to have them meet after all this time. You know, even though I thought of these two romantically, I really hoped Kring would have them meet eventually.

Peter and Niki have very similiar natures. When they both get really upset they are not in control of their powers. ANOTHER reason to add on the list

Oooh thanks. Niki/Peter at the beginning of the series did seem like a UC for many reasons among them
1) She was already married and had a son with DL
2) They had never met
3) Everyone was expecting Peter & Claire to get together

But then, interesting revelations
1) We found out that Peter is Claire's uncle
2) She had cheated on her husband with Nathan, Peter's brother
3) And ummm, we're canon as evidenced by spoilers and the previews for String Theory?

made us think that we're not so UC or so unbelievable/unlikely to ever be canon after all!

You know what's interesting? I mean, when you mentioned that Niki cheated on DL? It was actually more like Jessica, AND she was forced into it! I mean WHY did Linderman release her from jail to sleep with Nathan and set him up?

WILL those tapes ever be revealed, and what would be the purpose of them? And didn't it feel like HRG was working on different orders than Linderman to get to Nathan?

haha aren't we both? I dunno, I just don't trust Linderman's intentions! Do you remember how when linderman was talking to Nathan? I couldn't believe he didn't see niki's painting! It was right THERE! I think Linderman is playing people off of the paintings he's been recieving and seeing!

Not sure about what song you should use, but something sexy with a good beat. Nothing sappy & ballad like.

On a different note, I hated Simone & Peter as a couple. They had no chemistry & were SOOOO bland. I could barely watch their sex scene. I was like "he should be doing that with Niki!" LOL. Simone & Isaac forever! May they be reunited in the afterlife.

you know, I really am a believer in chemistry...and I don't hate Simone but I think she could have been used in a better way than what we got out of her. The love triangle thing just didn't work for me because, c'mon, for as much as Peter had feelings for Simone...she was coming out of a deep relationship with Isaac.

Also, it was a little strange for me to see them play out Isaac's grief over Simone a lot more than Peter...

I never got chemistry with those two...not even in a "friendship" sort of way, it always felt forced...I think if they were going to use Tawny Cyprus they should have held off a bit more with her relationship with Peter for me to really see it.

But yes, I thought, imo, that the chemistry and character storyline with Isaac was really spot on.

Yeah, I don't plan on using any ballads or sad songs. Something with good base beat, maybe industrial, maybe trip hop, but something I think that would work overall.

Trust me, I'm waaaay better at making angsty, angry, sad, etc. fanvids that happy cutsey stuff. lmao. it's been known to happen but I rarely make those kind of vids...it depends on the couple and mood I'm in

Niki *really* needs Peter to help her be good. IMO Niki does need a bit of guidance. It's like she wants to be a good mother, a good person but there's all these roadblocks --- Jessica, Linderman, etc. that are getting in the way.

but I think if Niki suddenly became "good" she would be kind of boring...she'd be like an older Claire...and we have Claire. What I love about Niki is that she constantly struggles to be good. I like that we don't always know if she'll be bad or not.

I think this is what will make her relationship with Peter soooo great! Peter would help Niki control her powers, get into her had, and into her life.

I agree she needs to do more than work as a online stripper. However, I like the idea of her being an assassin, OR working for the government as a spy.

I like to see her take action, be a good person, but not have to lose that hard edge she's got going on!

I know, I like the bad guys/girls!

YES! You definitely hit the nail on the head when you wrote,

And AMEN to that one! Because I was thinking of how Ali mentioned in her Larry King Live interview that she hadn't seen a character like Niki onscreen, where she has all these different facets. She's strong, she's mean, she's nurturing, she's violent, she's everything BUT perfect and I love her for it.

I love that she doesn't fit in one category. People can judge or call her a...well you know, not so nice name for a girl who gets around. But the thing people forget is that she did those things out of necessity. AND I love that she has played her sexuality to get what she needed to survive.

Errr. The lack of P/N shippers just bugs me. Everybody's STILL obsessed with Paire, even though they are uncle and niece. If I hear another "OMGz OMG I'M A 14 YEAR OLD GIRL OMG OMG PAIRE IS SOOOO CUTE!!1!1111!!!!!" I will vomit. LOL.
