1. Christmas wasn't always on the 25th of December. December 25th was originally the Roman festival of Saturnalia, which honored the god Saturn(originally the Greek Titan, Kronos) with celebrating and gift giving. It was changed to Christmas after Rome converted to Christianity.
2. The Christmas wreath was originally representative of the crown of thorns that Jesus wore during the crucifixion.
3. The tradition of Christmas trees goes all the way back to the ancient Romans and Egyptians, who marked the winter solstice with evergreens as a reminder that Spring would return.
