There wasn't much backstory, Dave and Rita. That was a storyline that Joss Whedon came up with for Age of Ultron, but it didn't serve much purpose other than to give the Avengers somewhere to hide. I think it was a dumb idea on the part of Whedon. Clint Barton was only married once in the comics, to SHIELD agent Bobbi Morse/Mockingbird. He never had a regular wife and kids out in the country somewhere.

You never know. Especially with RD. I think Hiram/Hal could make it work. Wasn't they like BFF in HS or something? I know but hopefully, The Serpent Four will reunite in S4. I did, and I don't know why but I think they'll have it end with Woody&Buzz going their separate ways. Like Woody will leave the gang, pass the leadership onto Buzz, and maybe retire with Bo Peep. For now, I don't think the multiverse in FFH is true, and yes I know.

I got your PM, dragonfire. And it still doesn't make sense to me for the same reason that Hawkeye's storyline makes no sense to me.

Oh, you think so? ;) How old could he be? But him getting with Gladys, his dad's ex, is totally okay with you? :P And I don't remember if Hal and Hiram were friends in High School. Well, I hope all the couples reunite, dragonfire.

Why do you think that Woody and Buzz would go their separate ways? That would be really depressing. Well, I do think that the multiverse is true because if the Mouse wants to keep making money he's gonna have to do this over again, although differently. :P But no MCU talk.

Hi, Lauren!  Yeah, I can't believe that Kevin and Fangs lost their kidneys. :puke: I'm glad Cheryl saved Toni. OMG, I hope Betty doesn't lose any organs. :puke: No, I don't think that the GK is Jason. I think it's like dragonfire said, it's probably Chic. Yeah, this does seem more like some twisted horror movie now.

I'm not interested in Aladdin, Lauren. :P

Well, it does to me. Also it is my favorite MCU couple/ship as well.  Well, ain't FP 50? So their Son would be like maybe late 20's early 30's? No, but knowing this show I wouldn't be surprised if they did that for some soapy drama. I think they might have been, and me too. Maybe to bring it full circle? Also, I think they might be giving the possible hints/clues in the trailer. TBF FFH is like half Sony.

Well, let's just say that Steve isn't a father in the comics either.

Oh, I think early 30s might be a bit much, dragonfire. He'd have to be in his 20s.

Well, I'd prefer that Riverdale refrain from the soapy stuff because I prefer it when it stick to its film noir roots. :P I hope we get some resolution with both Hiram and Hal.

Full circle, huh? So where would Buzz go? Let me know how it ends, okay? :)

Well, the fact that Sony partly owns Spider-Man is another reason for a multiverse. :P

But doesn't what happens in the MCU affects the comics as well? So the Mouse could do that in the comics. Falice's Son is Bughead's Brother so it's already soapy. :P Hopefully. I'm thinking Buzz stays with the other toys and is their new leader. See I think TS4 could be like Woody's swan song/goodbye. Like it's time for him to ride off into sunset etc, etc. I'll. They already got an animated multiverse. :P

Hi, Lauren! I'm glad you liked the momma cat and her kitten.

Thanks. :) I thought you'd like the title.

Yes, Bucky does end up with Natasha in the comics. But they're on-again, off-again. Natasha was also briefly with Daredevil in the comics. Hawkeye was only married to Bobbi Morse/Mockingbird, a SHIELD agent who eventually joined Hawkeye on the West Coast Avengers.

I feel the same way, Lauren. They'd better reveal the GK this week on the finale.

dragonfire, it's because of the MCU that Hank Pym is stuck inside Ultron's body and his soul is trapped in the soul gem, and Janet has been sidelined while this "Nadia" person is the new Wasp. So the Mouse had better fix stuff in the MCU or else! :punch: And I know they have an animated multiverse, so there's no reason to not have a movie multiverse where there's another universe where Hank and Janet are in the Avengers where they belong. :P Remember 2024, dragonfire. That's when the MCU starts making X-Men movies. Oh, and do you know that today is apparently X-Men day?

Yeah, but we don't need Riverdale to get too soapy, dragonfire. :P I prefer the show in its first season, and we need more of that stuff. Oh, so you think that TS4 will be the last one, and we'll be saying goodbye to Woody and Buzz? But I thought that's what TS3 was. I already said goodbye to them back then, and that was tough. :( I don't wanna do it again.

Or else what? :P I think I saw something about it. What stuff? I think it could be, and I also think in a way TS3 wasn't us saying goodbye to them but them&us saying goodbye to Andy.

Well, look up what happened to Dan Slott after Superior Spider-Man. :P

You know, the season 1 stuff that Riverdale had that was like Twin Peaks. I think that the show had a better pace when it was a half season long. Now that they have to go a full season, they drag these storylines out way too long. It wouldn't be an issue if they just focused on the main characters, but trying to juggle too many characters makes it difficult.

Well, yeah, TS3 was saying goodbye to Andy, but I assumed we were also saying goodbye to Woody and Buzz. Now I have to do it all over again.

What happened? So you're saying RD is becoming like OUAT? Well, after TS3 they had like these TV spin-offs/TV specials. Oh, have you seen this yet?

The Disney takeover continues. After completing its acquisition of 20th Century Fox earlier this year, the Mouse House has now assumed full operational control of the streaming service Hulu, effective immediately. The news comes after Disney and Comcast struck a deal in which Comcast handed over the steering wheel while agreeing to sell its stake in Hulu to Disney for at least $5.8 billion within five years.

Previously, Disney owned a 30% stake in Hulu with 20th Century Fox owning another 30%, Comcast owning 30%, and AT&T owning 10%. But when Disney acquired Fox, they doubled their total share, and when it became clear that they wanted full ownership over the streaming service, AT&T sold its 10% stake back to Hulu, leaving Comcast as the final holdout. And now, as we see with this deal, Comcast is selling off its remaining stake.

Hi, Dave!  My week got better. I'm off work tomorrow and the weather got much better. :sun: Oh, and I requested a week of vacation on the week of my birthday, June 17th. Nah, I'm not interested in seeing Aladdin. I don't wanna see live action versions of Disney movies.

Hi, Rita!  Yeah, me too.

Hi, dragonfire!

What happened is that Dan Slott ended up getting death threats when he made it seem like Peter Parker had died after Doctor Octopus' mind switched bodies with Peter's, and it seemed like Peter had died when Doctor Octopus' aged and decrepit body died, leaving Otto's mind in Peter's body. Turns out Peter's mind managed to get back into his own body, but stuck in a corner of his brain while Otto was in charge, and it took a while for Peter to get control of his body back. But Dan Slott himself felt like he needed to go into hiding afterwards. :P

I didn't even think of OUAT, but yeah, I do think that Riverdale has the potential to make the same mistakes. And I didn't know they had spinoff TV specials after TS3. :) That's nice to know.

Yeah, I heard, dragonfire. I thought Disney was gonna start its own streaming service, and now they have Hulu? I don't like this, dragonfire. I hate it whenever any company gets that big because typically something bad happens and they end up having to get broken up. I don't like it when Disney or any company gets too big.

I see. Yeah, I think they did stuff like that to continue the franchise without making another sequel until now. The Mouse reigns supreme. ;) Now onto the RD S3 finale. OMG! OMG! OMG! YES! YES! YES! Finally! I'm so extremely happy! One more time YES!!!!!!!!!! :woot:

Hi, Dave! Yeah, I haven't been into live action genies since Shaquille O'Neal did that Kazaam movie. But I just can't see Will Smith coming close to topping Robin Williams. Will's funny, but he's not stand-up funny, you know? That requires an entirely different kind of timing. Also, I didn't bother with the live action remakes of Beauty and the Beast, The Jungle Book, or The Lion King. I don't really believe in doing that.

Hi, dragonfire! Yeah, I preferred Disney back when they stuck to animated movies and family TV shows, and left the live action stuff to their Touchstone Pictures division. I don't like the idea of Disney owning freaking everything from 20th Century Fox to Marvel Studios to Hulu. That's just too damn big, and when something gets that big, like Facebook, Microsoft, or Bell Telephone, it just sets things up to implode. I would've preferred that Fox had bought out Marvel back in the 90s the way WB bought DC, so we wouldn't have to put up with this nonsense from The Mouse. WTF does the Mouse know about superheroes?

That actually makes some good sense. :) I thought that WB should've done that with Superman, Batman, and Wonder Woman, make some side projects like shorts and stuff to keep interest going.

I haven't seen the RD finale yet, so no spoilers please! I'll tell you what I think after I see it. I was busy getting caught up on Chernobyl yesterday. I'm two episodes into that one.

Hi, Dave!  I'm glad you posted today. :)

Well, I'm interested in Quentin Tarantino's Once Upon A Time In Hollywood, and John Wick Chapter 3: Parabellum. Oh, and IT Chapter Two, although I don't know when that's coming out.

OMG, have you guys heard that Robert Pattison is the new Batman? Edward Cullen is Bruce Wayne?

Hi, dragonfire! Uhh, I don't think so. I remember that Back To The Future came out in 1985, and the parts 2 and 3 filmed back to back and came out in 1989 and 1990, although I didn't really like them. They did do an alternate 1985 reality, though. :P ;)

I liked the finale of The Big Bang Theory too, although it didn't really feel like an ending. Not like the Friends finale did.

Yep, I saw the Riverdale finale! So, do you still think Gladys is the Gargoyle King? ;) Well, turns out you were always wrong about that one, but your new theory did turn out to be correct, and I did tell you that Chic being the GK made more sense than Gladys. I can't believe Penelope killed Hal, though. I liked that she was the mastermind behind everything because it also made some weird sense given everything that's happened before. That game she put Varchie and Bughead through was awesome. Both Archie and Jughead had to do battle with monsters, and Betty and Veronica had to drink from poisoned chalices as a test of loyalty. OMG, Cheryl finding Jason's dead body in that wheelchair at the farm was gross. Oh, and you were also right about Falice's son! Charles finally showed up! And he's an FBI Agent! See, this is why you stick to the comics, dragonfire. :P (*coughs*Hank and Janet*coughs*) I was also glad that Alice was working with her son and the FBI all the time.

But there are a few loose ends. Penelope is still lurking out there somewhere, and Cheryl has gone insane, having moved Jason's body to their home.  Hiram had Hermione arrested for the attempt on his life, and he's now(not surprisingly) running things in that prison and planning his revenge on Archie and Veronica. Edgar is still out there and has Alice and the other members of The Farm who "ascended." And that flash-forward ending.... WTF are Archie, Betty, and Veronica doing out in the woods in their underwear, on Spring break, and burning Jughead's clothes? Betty says they need to finish school, graduate, and go their separate ways because it's the only way they can get away with what they've done? Great, now we have to see season 4. I'm guessing that season 5 will be the final season if they get renewed after that.

Make Them Laugh 05-17-2019 03:29 PM

Alex- I think you did mention OUAT in Hollywood at some point this year...I just forgot...I'll pass on IT 2.. John Wick is ok. Hope you get dryer weather this weekend

I just found out, and I don't know about this. I hope it all turns out well. :look: I'm talking about continuing the franchise without a live-action sequel. To me it did. That was definitely my favorite part of the season finale. :woot: Not only did he showed up but he showed up, and revealed his ID to Bughead. His first scene was only with them. Also seems when they were all sitting down, there was a Serpent statue on the table. Me too. We'll have to watch S4 to find out, and I guess my thinking of Jughead's S3 end wasn't wrong then. I mean not exactly but close. Maybe, but I think they could get an S6.
