This is a tough question to answer, I really think they could make each other
happy and they could bring out aspects in each other that no one else, in the past,
has. For Lyla I think Tim could show her a lot more freedom in who she is as a
person, whereas with Lyla, Tim shows more of his softer side which wasn't really

Peter Berg (exec producer/director/writer) sat directly in front of me, Minka Kelly
(who plays Lyla Garrity) sat next to Peter, and Taylor Kitsch sat next to Minka. I
couldn't help but notice Minka and Taylor because Minka's relatives (I think her
parents, or if not, an aunt and uncle) sat next to me, and the woman beside me
brushed back Minka's hair and played with her ponytail just before the episode
screened, in a very maternal gesture. Minka and Taylor noticed, of course, and
as Minka turned to smile at her mom/aunt, Taylor flipped the ends of his own
hair back towards Minka's mom/aunt as if to ask her to play with his hair, too,
before turning to grin at her and inadvertently, me. It was really very sweet.

AHHHHHH!!!!! I am here!!!!!! I have been LITERALLY STUCK AT WORK, and then I came home last night and ended up falling asleep on the couch!!! THIS IS SOOO AWESOME!!! It's really beautiful girls, I love love love it!!! Great job!!! I have so much to comment on it's crazy, so you're in for a long post...

First of all, I want to say that you guys are all great and it's a pleasure to talk to you guys every day!!! Tyla love has drawn us together and we got to this thread so fast and I'm so excited...I felt so empty for the past 2 days!!! I MISSED you guys!! Ok, here goes...

It would just be plain cruel for the show to never explore Tim/Lyla in an actual relationship because so far, I think they've cared about each other the most and have had the most effect on one another out of all other partners they've had. It may be short lived, but it was incredibly passionate and hit them straight in the heart.

Exactly!!! They weren't trying to fall for each other...even though I think Tim has always carried on with supressed feelings for Lyla.

I agree, I think one of the biggest things about this couple is that they got NO closure, we were left with KNOWING that Tim loves her. Something is surely going to develop from that

honestly...that is what irked me soooo much..CLEARLY, we know who has Tim's heart, and it is Lyla. Period. And the fact that they had NO closure whatsoever leads me to believe it was left open for a reason...the writers have to be stupid not to know that they have the most amazing storyline on their hands...and I honestly believe that the show will pick up after Lyla works on herself for once...and I think that maybe her and Tim probably haven't reall interacted...Can you guys just IMAGINE how many hundreds of thousands of LONGING LOOKS that occured...and we missed them...BOO... haha but seriously, I believe that Lyla knows that Tim is the one for her, and now after 8 months may be finally willing to admit it...and we are going to get the pleasure of seeing unfold onscreen and I cannot wait!!

-I have hope for Tyla. I think that they are gonna milk one more year out of Tim and Lyla and make them be going into senior year. So, I think we're going to see a brand-new Lyla and Tim...I'm leaning more toward the spec that they haven't really spoken...Lyla is figuring out who she is as a person separete from her relationship with Jason and cheerleading and a daddy's girl. I do believe they will have her working...I hoping at Applebee's cause I think that would make for some fun scenes...maybe Tim witnesses Lyla on her first night and she bombs and he finally works up the courage to talk to her and try to console her...I can see it now...haha Lyla out back by the dumpsters feeling down about her disaster of a shift and Tim coming to cheer her up...Cause he's good at that and that's how they mend their friendship...Then maybe they start hanging out, cause, let's face it, Lyla has no one right now...and her and Tim will be having great, no-pressure hang-outs, and she will fall hard...and realize that im is what she wants...(i.e. her RISK!! haha) and we already KNOW that Lyla is the one Tim loves...the FIRST one that Tim has ever loved...so it will go from there what do you guys think??

I missed seeing your long posts Rachel! hahaha. First of all I agree with all the things you said! I think it would be so cute seeing Lyla work at Applebee's lol. I can already imagine a lot of fun things happening! hee. I can totally picture Lyla making a disaster since she's not used to it, and Tim witnessing it all, and helping her. That could be an ice-breaker for them. ya know.. And I can imagine like some people are making fun of Lyla and her disaster of a shift, and Tim defending her. lol. I love love love seeing some protectiveness from Tim. lol. And I guess that moment will open Lyla's eyes that no matter what Tim will be there for her.
