Probably no one else got the seat...they can have 2 or 3 drivers in endurance race, the thing they have to respect is that they have to drive more than 2 hrs per race but less than 4hrs so in a 6hr race having two drivers is perfectly possible. Ideally is 3 as endurance require more focus and to be more fit but maybe that was what they could set for this season.

Yeah, sadly! Hope he can race at least in some none competitve level, which must not be as satisfying for him but at least will let him live his passion in a way!

Agree! I get that his wife didn't like him racing all over the world, but you think they could find a compromise. Like racing just in the USA. Make it a family thing. Most tracks are very family friendly. Take the airstream and see the beautiful country with the kids around the races. I get he has to make money too, but he can do movies in the long off season. I dunno, but I just miss Patrick the racer. He was such a great ambassador for the sport, loved the history, and was really becoming a good racer.

Its something they could consider now maybe that might I mean get its little harder with kids and all but would be such a shame to complete giving when he was so good hoping

I think they are working on finding their balance first as a couple and a family again. I think maybe at some point they will compromise and maybe he can race again and be accompanied by the family, now he did say, and I hate the you cant have it all thing, but he did say that for things to work and be succesful they need 100% of focus, not be splitted and not having too much on the plate, so I am not sure he will race competitively again because that have gruesome demands in time and focus, not that he cant but certaily he would have to not work on the acting/producing part and he had like a zillion of projects now that I guess will need focus for the development for at least the next couple of years. Gah....well, I just hope whatever he decides it makes him happy.
