Yeah same even when I knew I couldn't have And I thought I'd picked something up wrong

It totally felt like that... they obviously dropped the cheating crap, and rewrote everything related to that. They wanted MerDer to be magically okay and perfect and happy again, since they were going to kill him off 3 episodes later.

Like i like that they were okay when he died but they were messing with them all season its more then one ep for them to fix that

Dude, I had to google things to make sure I wasn't missing anything, because I thought there was no way the writers would make the mistake of rushing things, esp with MD. Obviously, i was absolutely wrong.

Yeah, I just completely ignored that part, because honestly, it was out of character, and it did not make sense what so ever. It felt like I was watching a different show, not a show that has been running for 11 years.

I'm pretty sure that the fans would have appreciated to see MD reconcile over a period of time, rather than a rushed reconciliation, even if it was angsty. Of course it would have had to be well written, quality angst. But not all writers can achieve that.

They wrote the angst well in s8 after the trail mess, so I was hoping they'll do something like that again, but they did the most awful, cruel thing they could do.
