iiiiiiiiiinteresting..........

Tennessee Whiskey 10-10-2007 10:34 PM

Could be. I just hope Wee!Dean wannabe isn't really Dean's.

Ngatiara 10-10-2007 10:53 PM

Sounds interesting.

Oh me too Bee... I'd hate it if Dean had a kid.

Tahra

Tennessee Whiskey 10-10-2007 11:15 PM

Oh me too! Dean having a kid in fanfics is cute and adorable once in awhile but real Dean having a kid? NO! It would just be to much, I like Dean and Sam being the only Winchesters left. ...they can have kids like WAY down the road...like after the show goes off the air.

Ngatiara 10-10-2007 11:21 PM

Yea totally... And we can just be told just before it finishes that they're about to have kids, rather than actually show us that they've got kids. It's just wrong otherwise.

Tennessee Whiskey 10-10-2007 11:26 PM

Yup ITA! like have the ending something like Quantum Leap where they don't show us at all what happens just the car driving off into the sunset both boys in it and splashed over that, 'Dean settled down when he turned 40, his little boy is more of a handful then he ever was.' Something like that.

Ngatiara 10-10-2007 11:32 PM

Yup. Thats exactly it. And then the same for Sam. Don't show us anything, just leave it to our imagination how they got to that point.

Quantum Leap *g* My gosh, I haven't watched that in years even though we have every single season on DVD  I haven't finished Sliders yet.

Tahra

Tennessee Whiskey 10-10-2007 11:39 PM

You have all the QL seasons on DVD?! *is jealous* I only have season one so far. :( ...LOVED THAT SHOW! Sam and Al! Hee! ...season one of Sliders was pretty good.

Yup I think that is the best way to end any show, let the fans come up with what they want, like the OC spelled everything out to much. ...but I'm hoping we don't get the end of SPN for a VERY long time. :D

Ngatiara 10-10-2007 11:44 PM

Well we had them at work for $29 each, so I bought each season for my mum... Worked out to be like, 20 dollars a season with staff discount. So why not?

Second season wasn't too bad. JDM! I haven't gotten to S3 yet, still 4 episodes left of S2 to go.

Tahra

Tennessee Whiskey 10-10-2007 11:58 PM

JDM was in S2 of Sliders? really?

yay new episode in less then 24 hours! :yay:

Ngatiara 10-11-2007 12:18 AM

Yup he was in an episode called El Sid. He played Sid. So cute!

I know! I can't wait!!!

my stomach has butterflies.

Has Kripke said anything publicly about the less-than-enthusiastic response to 3.01?

I don't want a kid on the show because it really changes everything. Although, I must admit I would LOVE to see Jensen playing Dean as a Dad. If we think he's protective of Sam, can you imagine him over his own kid??? *swoon!*

Tennessee Whiskey 10-11-2007 03:02 PM

Crystal I haven't heard of Kripke saying anything yet. ...but it makes you wonder just a little bit with epsiode 3.01 being the way it was if EK didn't have to make his own crossroad demon deal with the CW, like yeah we'll give you a season three, but you're gonna need to do some changes.... I guess we'll find out tonight.

I really hope the kid isn't Dean's...maybe Dean thinking he is all the way through the episode, then finding out he isn't. I'm completely fine with, that way we do get Dad Dean, but we don't get stuck with Dad Dean, because like you said it changes EVERYTHING, even if he leaves the kid with his mother, he's still out there, still somebody to worry about etc.

wakeupolder 10-11-2007 08:41 PM

:bawl: Dean has softly yet surely killed me yet again ! I see the old Dean coming out and I like it. More comments to come after I get my head back on straight !!

Tennessee Whiskey 10-11-2007 10:31 PM

LOVED this episode! ...and I change my mind...I want Ben to be Deans! :sigh:

Why did I ever doubt the Kripke?

And I can official Hate Ruby now! :yay: life is good!

CrystalPistol 10-12-2007 06:16 AM

Ooooooooooooookay.
First, I need to re-watch this episode because my eyes were dry and burning last night and I was super tired (kept yawning) so I wasn't really focused on the episode. Therefore, I didn't feel like I absorbed a lot.
But here's what I did get.

YAY SERA!!! This ep was much better than last week's even though I still had a few teeny tiny problems. I'll start with the bad and get it over with because frankly, they're old complaints, I just can't let them drop. More pop culture references which annoyed me (Anthony Michael Hall something...) and too much focus on the look of the baddies. Remember the pilot commentary Kripke? "Things are scarier if we keep them in shadow..." I much prefer the suggestions of Wendigo and Hookman where the bad guys weren't so blatantly shown. And the "case" felt rather rushed on this ep. Not a lot of research going on. The guys felt a little too seperated.

Okay. That's it. (see, that wasn't so bad, was it?) Now, onto the good!

Dean, oh my Dean, I love you so. Even I, who does not want a kid, would be willing to bear you one. Come to me, we'll have lots of sex, settle down in suburbia and raise some little hellions. I'm waiting.

Oh, am I on :ff:? Well, Jensen broke me a few times with his facial expressions. Seriously. First: "Does that make me Pokie?", Second: "When he sees Ben hitting on the little girls and he is counting the years and Third at the end when she tells him Ben is not his. He looked SO disappointed and when he knew he couldn't stay he looked so sad. I almost cried. I want to comfort him so badly. "It's not my world." Oh, Dean! It should be! It should be! :bawl: I was almost wishing he would be Dean's. Dean seemed to just love the kid so much. I dunno though. I think they might be trying to keep a little something up their sleeve, because after Dean said he was disappointed, Lisa almost looked as if she'd lied to him. Ben was a little unrealistically Dean-ish, but it was cute none-the-less. If he was THAT much like Dean, how could he possibly be someone else's?

I realized last night just how much I have grown to like Sam. I was disappointed in he was not in the episode more! I loved the final scene though when he shouted at Ruby and got in her face. Jared being all forceful is great. I think he's at his best when he's like that.

I felt pretty happy too when Ruby was revealed to be a demon. Now we don't have to worry about hating her because honestly, she wasn't winning any points in the diner scene. But I think Katie Cassidy is doing a good job. Her final line made my stomach do flip flops.

I thought the guest acting was great this episode. Especially the creepy little girl and her Mom.

Best line of the night for me was "Okay Weirdy McWeird." :lmao: LOVED the scene of the ladies talking about the "infamous" Dean and the "almost illegal one night" :lmao:

And Ben. I never like hearing a kid cuss (when he said 'bitch' twice). Despite that, it was very cute how Dean-like they made him. And the scene with him, Dean & the bully was very cute. I thought it was sweet how they made him all helpful and thoughtful during the rescue scene.

So, I guess Sam is supposed to be like some sort of Dark Prince for hell? That's what I'm getting from Pride and Ruby. It'll be interesting to see where they're going to take this.

Well, he didn't write this episode. But I guess he does dictate to the other writers who each character will be, etc...

Mary0023 10-12-2007 08:04 AM

I Loved this ep..i think i loved it more then the premire...one Dean wasn't such an ******* in this one and omg i loved Dean and Ben :sigh:...they are so alike that its hard to believe that it's not his kid...or is he.....

and see i knew i wasn't going to like that ruby chick ****ing demon!! thats why we all had a bad feeling about her. (and no i have not read one spoiler so if it's there then i didn't know, because for at least one show i don't want to know anything!!)

I kinda felt really bad for that mom..even though she was right. i know it can't be easy to kill your kid.

OK but can we get back to Dean and Ben...omg sooo cute!! :sigh: and aww you know by the end dean really wished it was him :sigh: and he would have been an awesome dad to ben..they'er practically the same!!..and lol when those old ladies we ogling him

Old Ladies: "ohhh so thats dean " http://i34.photobucket.com/albums/d1...ifty-eyes1.gif
Dean: :gone:

:lmao:

ok thats all i have :D

over all the ep was awesome!

CrystalPistol 10-12-2007 09:00 AM

Oh, I forgot to add....Sam's comb-over had me giggling my butt off! :)

wakeupolder 10-12-2007 12:17 PM

Wow :smirk: I was blown away by last night's episode.. the return of Dean Winchester did my heart some good !

First, the whole scene at the birthday party was friggin' awsome!! JA really nailed it, as usual, but the looks on his face and the whole tripping thing . . priceless!! and teaching the kid to kick the bully in the nads, :woot: Such a Dean thing to do!! His comments were funny and I found I laughed with him more cause there wasn't that undertone I felt last week. His Pokie comment was four kinds of funny. I loved it ! And I adored Ben, I just wanted to squish him.

I am starting to have a fear of Children now :look: and I blame it fully on Kripke ! The kids feeding off of their mothers *shudder* Creepy !!

I thought everything flowed really well from finding out what the "monster of the week" was to the killing of said monster. And I thought the boys had better flow this week, none of the tension from last week. Sam still looking for a "cure" for his brother even after he found out what happens if he does  Love me some Sammy. And Dean seemed a whole lot more like himself, not so over the top, I may have to pretend the first epi didn't exist. I have done it before .. can you say No Exit ?? no? me either :smirk:

The ending is what stood out the most to me ;) of course.

"It's not my world"

:bawl: The look on his face ! Yep, broke me into a thousand tiny little pieces. This is the Dean that makes my heart melt. The Kick some Butt but also caring and honest, open and vunerable, witty and charming. This people is the Dean Winchester that I have come to know and LOVE ! When he opens himself up like that it just makes me want to hold him close and protect him from all the bad in the world. To protect him ! Unlike last week when I wanted to kick him !!

JA as ususal nailed the look of desperation and longing here. The man's talent never fails to amaze me. How he can go from making me laugh my bootie off to making me cry like a kid within a matter of minutes !

I was so torn about this episode cause I was afriad they were trying to shove a DeanClone down our throat.. oh but wait I forgot they already tried that in the form of Jo :look: sorry, I will be nice. Anyway, I wound up loving it. Even the Demon Chick (can't remember her name ?) was pretty cool, I think it puts an interesting twist on the story :D

Bee  Like you, I feel bad for questioning the Evil!Genius that is Kripke.

Ngatiara 10-12-2007 07:19 PM

Oh I know. I'm gonna have to some serious begging to Kripkes Idol for forgiveness over doubting him.

This episode was 1000 kinds of awesome. Absolutely loved it, completely wiped the worry I had after last weeks episode.

I really wanted Ben to be Deans kid, because omg he was just so cute and Mini-Deanish, and just so adorable with Dean. :thud: Too cute.

Sammy how I love thee for trying to find a way to get Dean out of the deal despite knowing what'll happen to him if he does.

Ruby. UGH. Can't stand her, she's such a manipulative little bitch.

Thank you! Can we start an anti thread now? ....and she's using Dean to get to Sam! :irked:

I can't believe I doubted the awesomeness that Ben would be. I thought it was going to be very hokey but it was the farthest thing from hokey! LOVED HIM! Lisa SO lied, there is no way Ben isn't his. (and I'm more then ok with that. :) )

Ngatiara 10-14-2007 02:16 PM

We can TOTALLY start an anti thread hon! There's two of us. We hate her. Anti-Ruby!

I know I was so worried it was gonna be cheesy and it totally wasn't. And I'm with you on Ben being Deans. Totally okay with it. Love it. Want it!

Tahra

Tennessee Whiskey 10-14-2007 02:31 PM

YAY! :yay: Someone to hate her with. :yay: ...so would you like to start it? (on the SPN board) or shall I? I wont be able to start it until later because i have to go and slowly poison myself with toxic fumes.

Ben+Dean=

Ngatiara 10-14-2007 02:36 PM

I'll start it. Need a thread title though. I'll think of something. You have to poisen yourself? Surely she's not THAT bad!

Oh totally BEN+DEAN=PWNED.

They are totally my new Platonic OTP. OMG. They're my POTP!

Tahra
