I think Hal would be very good for Catherine. I think he would make her believe in herself...make her feel good about herself. Help her through her father's death..and definitely not make her think she was like her dad.

that's what i thought hal did for her. he helped her dad too & it was great of him to show how much he cared for the both of them.

He did do that. And I think if we would have seen past the end of the movie..he would have helped her even more

that's true. and, it was so good to see that catherine was able to work past her mental/emotional issues to take that step in trusting hal & living her life in her own terms.

The sister was definitely not something she needed around her.

I thought it was sweet that Hal was going to 'steal' the one notebook and then give it back to her cause it mentioned her. I think I'd have wanted to date someone like Hal in college

ya, her sister was treating her like a child with no mind of her own. it wasn't doing catherine any good.

that was totally nice of hal to do that for her. i wish he was my college boyfriend.

The special features don't feature much Jake really. Not like the Jarhead ones

But I still love Jake in this movie..specially the part during the party when he's talking to her on the stairs
