America Ferrera joins 'End of Watch'
'Ugly Betty' thesp takes main supporting role in pic

Exclusive: America Ferrera has been recruited to "End of Watch," and will play a female cop opposite Jake Gyllenhaal and Michael Pena.
Ferrara's character, who goes by her last name Orozco, will be a main supporting role. Anna Kendrick is playing Gyllenhaal's wife.

"Watch" is a nice get for the "Ugly Betty" star, her first dramatic feature since "Betty" ended its run last spring. She's also landed voice work in "How to Train Your Dragon 2" (she voiced Astrid in the original) and a short arc in "The Good Wife."

"End of Watch," directed by David Ayers, is currently shooting in Los Angeles.

Ferrera is repped by ICM; manager Jon Rubenstein; U.K. agent Christian Hodell and attorney Jodi Peikoff.

I'm very curious about this movie, would love to see what kind of chemistry the actors have and what drama comes their way.
