aww you have so much nice things to say about him!! i bet you could write a book about it. it would be cool to see him play a father again, maybe he will? Billy sure struggled in the beginning, but turned around proving that he could be there for Leila, he truly cared about his family.

this movie was casted really well, i can't think of anyone else playing these roles. It's great to get talented actors, it makes the movie more intense and good that way. It makes all the emotions look so real!

it was perfectly casted I agree! they all made me cry!

I drooled and teared up during the shower scene! it's both and

after the first time I saw the movie I had "Phenomenal" stuck in my head all day. and the second time I saw it I had the song from the last scene in my head all day where he says 'your mom would be proud of you' or something and the song matches in the background. not sure what it's called. aw that scene though and his sad face I wanted to hug him! I melted when he picked up Leila and her legs were wrapped around him. I'm officially jealous of a 10 year old!

yeah i do have them in my head now actually I’m glad that Eminem didn’t end up playing the role.

The scenes that made me cry the most were:
One, when Maureen was shot of course. Her repeating for them to just go home was so sad!
Two, after that when Leila was lying in her bed all teary and she called for him when he was leaving in the hallway and he said “yeah baby?” you can hear in his voice that he was trying to hold in his tears and so was she, aww omg! they didn't want the other to see them cry but they needed to hug each other then so bad!
Three, when they wouldn't let him and Leila hug in the court room and they were yelling for each other!
Four, the car and hospital scene of course... and when he mumbles "I'm sorry"
Five, when Leila hit him screaming she hates him and that he should’ve been the one that was killed not mom. owch.. that hurt
And finally, when Leila repeated her mom’s words after the fight saying she wanted to go home and he got all emotional. “I love you daddy”

OMG very well said!! those are were very sad indeed! maybe you should give him a big hug for all of them! i love that you remembered all that, great memory!

that would've been really terrible if he was casted instead the movie definitely wouldn't be the same. besides the sad storyline, the superb acting is what made the movie very good! Eminem definitely couldn't have done that role justice like Jake did. I can not see it thank god they went the other route, plus singers can't act.

Eminem was attached to the role for 5 years but wanted to focus on family and music at the time so Jake got it. I'm happy that happened and that he did the soundtrack instead. It worked out great for the both of them! I definitely can't picture anyone else but Jake as Billy. Thank you Antoine!
