People take their shipping so serious nowadays, even going as far as threatening the significant other of the person they ship because they ship them with their costar or bandmate or whoever.

I remember during our time, it wasn't as aggressive as it is now, or nonsensical. For example on the Fifty Shades fandom there are people who ship the main couple and people who ship the main actor with his wife. I mean, that doesn't even make sense
