Nip/Tuck - Focus on Nip/Tuck - Where have we been? Where are we going?

Throughout the years on Nip/Tuck we have seen the show focus on many different topics. Blending them into the storylines and drawing our attention to these world issues. We have seen issues ranging from drug trafficking, religion, questioning your sexuality, rape, racism, martial problems, parenthood, ect...

How has these issues affected you? Did some of them hit you harder than others? Which did you think the show didn't focus enough on or represent in a realistic way?

Of course the big question, where do you think the focus of the show will go for Season 5?

I'd actually like to see more of the porn industry. I really want Kimber to drop scientology and go back to her roots.

They've done quite a bit of sexuality/questioning/trans-gendered etc, so meh. Umm more drug issues would be cool.

I just love how Nip/Tuck takes an issue and explores the hell out of it and isn't afraid to go all the way. I'd be up for anything Ryan Murphy wants to throw at us!

That would be interesting. Sean was against the porn industry in the begining. With his new position on life and being in the headquaters of the industry it will be interesting to see where his path lies. Not to mention the type of trouble our boys could get into to.

Kimber going back to her roots. I just found that line funny. The only character I can think of ever that was actually a better, more liked character during her porn days. I would like to see her go back to it though. Not as an actress again but behind the scenes like she was doing. She was getting very famous and then her relationship with Christian caused a rift in that.

I would like to see one of our boys have a drug addiction. Not something that would be seen as a threat to the buisness but just to their personal health. I think that Sean is the most likely choice. Christian is a father again and I can't see him doing that.

I think that the most important part about Nip/Tuck is that it doesn't try to force something on you. A lot of shows will send you a message that one thing is good and the other is just bad. With Nip/Tuck it's more about questioning your choice. We all take different paths in life. Choose to go left or right, do drugs, have sex, ect.. No matter what we do, we always question yourselfs if the choice we made was the right one.

I can't begin to answer this question because the show never follows text book formula, it's so unpredictable and raunchy ... it's hard to predict where they will go next. Let's put it this way, what haven't they done?

Well...Sean was drunk when he called the phone sex operator. But, she wasn't a little person, so you may be onto something there.

And yeah, I thought Christian was being a bit unreasnable there. I mean I can understand him not wanting Kimber to take part in porn films any as a participant. But he objected to her directing porn films, the Kimber dolls, and Kimber had actually set quite a lucrative business up for herself behind the scenes as you say. And it's not like she wasn't already into porn when Christian got back together with her

I would think that she should have at least been able to continue with directing them

I think that the real problem was the dolls. Being told how other men were getting pleasure with a plastic version of his soon to be wife was to much for him.

If Kimber does go back into porn no matter what her position, it would be very helpful for storylines with move of locations.

I agree. Even now, she hasn't really left porn, I mean, she made one with Matt. It's just part of who she is.

Matt brining her friends from the porn industry into the picture could be a sign of seeing more of them. I believe that her director friend retired but..maybe she will make a few appearances in season 5.
