Actually, I'm hoping the movie will make the romance look less creepy than it sounds in the book (because it's not even a romance the way it's portrayed there), you said you could enjoy in the film so I'm being a bit hopeful.

But yeah, I wasn't a fan of the Bella/Edward romance in the book either until I saw the movie. The onscreen chemistry was great.

I've watched it.
I'll give you my comments in the OT if you want them, but the movie did take away some of the creepy vibes I got from the book - Bella doesn't spend 3/4 of the time noticing how perfect and beautiful and "exquisite" Edward is and how he's too much for her, and you are spared (some of) the moments where he looks like an overprotective father.
Jasper is hot. Jacob isn't pretty but he seems nice. And I never laughed so hard during a scene originally planned as dramatic as I did watching Edward sparkle in the sun, I think I broke a rib.

BTW, what are the roles of Emilie and Robert in the movie they're filming? I don't remember if I read it.

When the movie first came out, someone on an LJ said it looked like Edward was sweating profusely rather than sparkling.

From IMDB it says: A drama centered on two lovers whose newfound relationship is threatened as they try to cope with their respective family tragedies.

Emilie's character is Ally Craig and Rob's character is Tyler Roth.
