^ it really was soo sweet && Awesome and probably one of my favorite scenes ever in supernatural!! it had everything, humor, sweetness and awesome brother moment!

I definitely have to agree with this. To me the fact that the necklace is something that Sam gave to Dean when they were little kids and getting that present from his little brother meant so much to Dean that he still wears the necklace to this day that just makes their relationship even more adorable than it already was, I love these boys!

You would have to be made of stone to not melt at that scene! And the way Dean is so protective over the amulet makes it even more adorable!

It did. After all this time wondering what the significance the amulet had, it made it extra special finding out that it was something Sammy gave him.

^ i still remember the scene in Skin when he takes it off the shapeshifter, you can tell it means a lot to him

That scene sticks out in my mind too everytime I think of the xmas episode. You could really tell how important it was to him. It's practically a part of him!

I'm so glad you mentioned this, because I was just thinking about it before. The way the scene changes from Wee!Chesters to a close-up of the amulet around Dean's neck as he walks in the door? OMFG. That was the moment that killed me the most, seriously. The fact that, like HalesNLuke said, it means so much to him that he wears it proudly to this very day, just...words cannot describe how heartwarming and genuine and loving that is. God, it was so beautiful!

definitelly, that moment in Skin was the first thing that popped in my mind also, when the flashback played out.
I wonder if the subbtle reference was intended...
