I'm with ya, I hoping his storyline does not go too far out there, that has been the main problem with recurring characters, they tend to make them overshadow the Winchesters which is a big mistake. I am looking forward to more Castiel reactions with Dean.

They should totally pull a Buffy and sign on Bobby as the mentor (Giles) on a regular status as well. Castiel could be the "Angel" character (the non human demon fighter).

Hopefully Kripke changes his mind about the five year plan seeing as how the ratings took shocking turn upwards and decides to go beyond five seasons!

Does anyone think Pam should not blame Castiel for losing her sight? after all he did warn her but she insisted that he show himself to her.

I just hope that if Castiel becomes a regular that he stays an angel. And he doesn't cut out his grace like Anna did. It would be nice for the boys to have someone they trusted to be the go between to heaven. And even though I think Castiel is confused and a bit lost, I think he was always meant to be an angel. He just has that presence of goodness and wanting to spread light in the world.

Definitely! Like you said, he gave her fair warning but she pushed for him to reveal himself, so I don't think he could help it. It bugged me how in the last episode she was hung up on getting revenge, it's not like he did it deliberately. I would've thought she'd be...I dunno, a bit in awe of the fact there are angels in the first place. I didn't like how she pinpointed them as the bad guys.

Even if Castiel is becoming more conflicted about right and wrong and all the in-betweens, I don't see him cutting out his grace. I think he has more faith in his Father, than to do something so rash.
