Heaven forbid we have people like Cas, Crowely and tons of other repeat characters sticking around but when it comes to Adam, a Winchester...nope.

I'm not saying he gets a seat in the impala or anything, but why he can't be saved and be off screen is beyond me.

I don't know.

He was pretty well recieved by fans. I think as long as they don't put in him in every episode and start this epic bromance with Dean or Sam fans would continue to enjoy him.

Completely agree.

I really enjoyed the Adam/Dean stuff...and if the writers insist on giving us angst.

Why not get Sam's nose bent out of shape because Dean/Adam hit it off so well, then angst can happen, then things work out and then they are a big happy (as happy as one can be on SPN) family.

What was the motive for the writers originally introducing Adam? It makes no sense to create a whole other Winchester , but then not allow the character to grow. Maybe they decided he didn't fit in with Sam and Dean? I liked how Sam suddenly became the big brother to him, it's like Adam could carry on the show, if

... Sam and Dean died... permanently. Although that's a big load to carry. If they ever did bring Adam back, I can't imagine what Sam and Dean's reasoning would be behind leaving him in hell for so long.

One fan postulated that maybe he was never in Hell. That when Cas Molotov cocktailed Michael-wearing-Adam's-meatsuit it meant that Adam's spirit left to Heaven the way that Jimmy's spirit did after Raphael smote his body.
