Aw! I love Ed and Harry! They are funny and adorable and totally useless when it comes to the Supernatural

I was reading a fan poll about the best to worst episode list this season over at Lj and this one landed right in the middle. People either hated it, or loved it.

I think that in it's whole it was a very risky episode to make, and it's execution it totally worked IMO. So for that alone I think it deserves props.
I get it not being the best episode to air after such a long hiatus and with only 4 episodes left in the season, but on it's own I thought it worked beautifully.


BTW you know they are talking about making some Ghostfacers webisodes?
I'm totally psyched about those if it does go through

Folie I agree with you, this is one of my all time fave SPN episodes never mind just for this season, it was creative and such a uplifting episode that we really needed in the middle of the angst fest. I would love to see Harry and Ed again!

It's one of my least favorite episodes of the show, but it still had its moments that I enjoyed.

I do think that it suffered from its placement. After the long break with the writers' strike, and knowing that there were only four episodes until the end of the season (and presumably, only those four eps to get Dean out of his deal)....... well, it was a filler episode at a time when I wasn't expecting filler.

The whole episode came to me as a big surprise... I just dl'd it totally spoiler-free. It was hilarious from time to time, and Ed and Harry You gotta love 'em!
What bothered me, and this is really a silly thing, was that San and Dean cussed a lot. I mean, they don't do that in other epis, so why start now. Stoopid me for hanging onto detail but it bothered me a little.
Some people, myself included, has talked in soem other thread about missing the brotherly banter and lighter episodes... So here it was. It was not so much about Sam and Dean, but it was a nice light snack before the heavy main course.

I think it's pretty obvious the only "reason" Dean and Sam don't cuss more is because the show is on network TV.
So for me it was quite the oposite. The fact that in this episode they were "allowed" to do so was very gratifying because I really can't believe that these two guys wouldn't be potty mouths and would talk as clean and censored as they do. If anything it bugs me that they don't cuss on the show.

Yeah, I figure that in "real life" the boys do as much cussing as they did in this ep, but they can't include it because it's network TV. Dean cursing is a given (I'd think) but what amused me in this ep was the way that Sam was cursing when he saw the "Ghostfacers" again.

I know, I mean, it was a sight to see Sam cussing too, I mean you kinda expect it out of Dean already But yeah, I would love to hear the very colorful language that Sam and Dean would utter if the show wasn't on network tv

As comparatively weak as I may find parts of this episode, it was all worth it for that final scene between the boys and the Ghostfacers. Loved the look Sam and Dean exchanged after watching the show, and then that they outsmarted the Ghostfacers to erase it.

Totally agree, i didn't like this episode much, but the end was great. The joke they pulled together

It totally fit with the ending of the Hell House episode, too. No matter how much trouble the Hell Hounds/Ghostfacers cause the boys, at the end of the day, Dean and Sam manage to pull something over on them.
