ok i got an update from my friend on the Carrie fan club that got the list of submitted stuff and Taylor submitted Picture to Burn and Love Story. She didnt submit anything for album as she submitted "Taylor Swift" last year.

I think Fearless could get an album nomination if it stays on track. but there are some major album releases that are happening next year that could be up for submission. if i'm not mistaken Brad Paisley is coming out with a new album and Carrie is also releasing a new one next year. if they'll put them up i dont know. But i wouldnt be surprised if it did get a nomination.

Hmm she sold around 100k more. She sold 592k in the first week and Beyonce sold 482k.

I hope Fearless does get nominated for the Grammys next year. I don't think they'd forget her album considering how critically acclaimed it is and how well it is selling at the same time.

Steph has a good point about other albums coming out next year, if Some Hearts and Carnival Ride are any indicators then Carrie's will be amazing and Brad always delivers with his lyrics...except for his lastest but it was a guitar album.

Anyways, I wouldn't be surprised if Taylor got a nomination either, but I think the only thing against her is that her music is a bit more teeny booper to some people but hey a nomination could happen.

I'm sure those other country albums would post competition but I still think it will be nominated. A win may be harder to accomplish (but I certainly hope she does) but a nomination may be well within reach. If we consider all the reviews so far and the Metacritic ratings, Fearless is the best country album of 2008, I don't think the Grammys would ignore that.

Yeah, the problem is people tend to think coz she's young that she's teenybopper and such and they couldn't be more wrong. But I think it also works for her, she's young but she writes amazing songs and has such maturity for her age, I think she gains a lot of respect in the industry because of that.

^ That's what I hate about this way this kinda stuff works. Fearless is going to have to wait until next year even though it came out like a month ago and I'm afraid that people will forget it or, like you girls said, lots & lots of amazing albums are released next year. Blah. That's my rant for the day.
