I can so relate to "Over again". The video also shows the dizziness and the confusion that we feel at moments of grief. I've literally said goodbye to someone over and over again. God knows, it could still happen again lol. In my case, the person is not dead but it doesn't make it any easier. Everytime, they were emotional and heartbreaking goodbyes that were forced upon me. It hurts because ultimately I care about that person.

:group_hug: music that comes from such a place will always have that effect. :sigh:

another thing that creates "micro wounds" is when people ask "are you ok?". how about "**** no, if you know how important that person means to me, how can I be ok?". But then we end up faking a smile so that people can stop asking.

Right? That line about people saying "this must be hard for you..." and you're thinking well no duh. It's always going to hurt no matter what.

Very true. But people just don't know what to say or how to help, so they resort to what sounds like meaningless cliches.

MsPerfectionist 02-06-2018 09:35 AM

I prefer a hug or "I'm here for you if you need to talk" approach. The worse was "smile a little", "it's sunny outside" when I had a storm on the inside.

Now it comes and goes. It's hard. The more we care for someone, the more it hurts. I guess I'm a lost cause.

Nobody knows the pain that someone else goes though. It's easier said than done when someone tells you to smile.
It hurts but thankfully we have music to help keep us sane through the dark moments.

Linkin Park's music makes us stronger on so many levels.

Slayerette89 02-16-2018 07:15 AM

I was pleasantly surprised by how much I still enjoy a lot of the old stuff.

MsPerfectionist 02-19-2018 03:15 PM

And I still have a hard time listening to One More Light album...

quin0611 02-20-2018 01:43 PM

I love their first 2 albums the best! :D

One of my fav is Minutes to Midnight, what a great album. The first time I heard "In Pieces" I was like wow what a great song and so underrated.

Good song thanks for posting and that was a good album too. ;)

MsPerfectionist 02-27-2018 02:10 PM

:)

I was also listening to Recharged this week. I was not really fond of remixes in general but I needed something up tempo to give myself some motivation. It wasn't bad.
