Here's my choice for Laura's and Auré's songs:
Laura: - José González - Crosses - Louise Attaque - Manhattan - Komeda - It's Alright, Baby Auré: - Air - Electronic Performers - Sigur Ros - Untitled 8 (Popplagid) - Louise Attaque - J'temmène au vent Gwen, I like The International Sound. Oh, and Denise, love your signature. 'Romeo and Juliet' is such a pretty song. Have you ever listened to The Killers' version? It's great! __________________

Yeah, I did! 'Supersonic' is the title of a song by Oasis. And now this board is moderated by two 'super': Supersonic and Supergirl!

Yeah, I got to know the song by The Killers too. I wouldn't say I think it's better than the Dire Stairs version because to me a good cover must bring something new to the song and The Killers' version is really beautiful, but it just sounds pretty much the same as the original version, you know? But I must confess, I listen to The Killers' version more than the original version. I guess that's because it sounds more contemporary.
Thanks. And just in case you guys are wondering who the hell is this guy who appeared from nowhere, I'm David, you guys! __________________

That's true what you say about a cover though. I mostly feel the same too. But I listened to the live version of the Dire Straits' version as well and I didn't really like it. So that was also one of the reason why I listen to The Killers' version more lol.
I think it's time for a recommendation again MySpace.com - Ida Maria - Stockholm/Nesna, NO - Indie / Rock / Punk - www.myspace.com/idamaria Ida Maria. She's an indie singer for Sweden. I really like her music __________________

Don't we have all the votes from everybody now? Can't we make the album now then?

Once Auré posts her choices, we can list all the songs that made it to the CD and then we can discuss it.
What about the title? Do you guys all agree with Gwen's suggestion of 'The International Sound'? __________________

Okay, I just finished counting. The results (songs that made it to the CD are in bold):

So let's go to the ties now. I think the person who submitted the songs should decided which one of the tied songs makes it to the CD, right? There's a tie for Jose's songs: Animal Collective - Water Curses - 3 Palmitos Park - El Guincho - 3 Which one do you choose, Jose? And there's a three-way tie for my songs: Moptop - Sempre Igual - 3 Vanguart - My Last Days of Romance - 3 Nouvelle Vague - Love Will Tear Us Apart - 3 I choose Vanguart's "My Last Days of Romance". Obs.: If you want to count yourself and if you find any mistakes, please let me know. I might have miscounted. __________________
