january 31, 2010, (Sawf News) - A tribute and lifetime achievement award to Michael Jackson, the latter accepted by his eldest two children, was the highlight of the 52nd Annual Grammy Awards at on Sunday, January 31.
It was a big night for Beyoncé who won six Grammys and and Taylor Swift who won 4. Jackson's children, Prince Michael, 12, and Paris, 11, accepted the Lifetime Achievement Award on behalf of their father escorted by family members. The awards ceremony included some breath taking performances, including those by Lady Gaga and Pink. Later, during the main ceremony, she walked up the stage to receive her first Grammy award on national TV for the Best Country Album Fearless. Meh, it would be really hard for me to talk about the Grammy's right now without bashing anyone.
Colbie Caillat and Jason Mraz also won, so I was at least very happy with that. |

Taylor Swift, though adorable, can't (or couldn't last night) sing well live. I was hoping for a Lady Gaga win.

I think that's why I just can't get into her as a musician. Hard for me to be a fan of someone who sounds one way on stage, and completely different in the studio.

I love Pink's performance, it was amazing. I also love the tribute to MJ and the performance of Dave Matthews Band.... and that's about it. Taylor Swift's performance sucks so bad. I love it when singers/bands sound better live than on the cd because you know there's real talent there....Taylor's not one of them.
So many more deserving artists weren't nominated as usual __________________

end of the show with all the rapers, I got a huge surprise .. I don't follow of listen to Rap there is this actor I knew from Degrassi Aubrey Graham.now known as Drake . irony I saw a movie sat and he was in pre movie commercial for Sprite . Hapy to see him out there with big boys Lil Wayne and Eminem! glad to see Black Eyed pees won at least one Grammy ,I agree there a few winners I disagree with .. Back Eyed Pees hottest band, hottest song, not sure why they don't win album of the year __________________

The best thing about this years Grammy's. Elton John and Lady GaGa's opening act. One word: AMAZING!
Second thing was seeing Eminem again, Beyonce winning and (even tough I don't like Pink) her performance was one of the stand outs of the evening. The tricks she did (half naked) on the celling was really amazing. It was a good night and I enjoyed myself for once watching the show. __________________
