yeah it's like Russ completely disappeared after season 3, it's really disappointing because I really loved watching the close sibling relationship between Russ & Brennan. Maybe the producers tried to bring Russ back but the actor didn't want to come back? That's the only plausible explanation because I can't imagine the producers not wanting to bring her brother back especially for Brennan's wedding and Max's funeral, so the problem had to be the actor I assume...I also checked the actor's wikipedia page and it says that the last acting role he had was back in 2011, so maybe he quit acting after that? If he did then that would explain why the actor didn't want to come back.

And yes, I think Russ lived far away with his wife and step-children, but I forgot where...the last time we ever heard about Russ again was after Max's death.

Yeah I thought I heard somewhere that he wasn't acting any more. If that was the case it would have made sense.

That makes sense if the actor chose not to act anymore. I just thought he would have at least been at Max's funeral.

It really was. I mean if the actor retired and they didn't want to recast the role that makes sense but still it was his father's funeral and he just wasn't there.

Right! I wouldn't have minded if they had to re cast him, it just would have been nice to have him there.

That's what I'm confused about too...I mean, they recast Parker after the original actor quit acting, so why couldn't they just recast Russ' character too? Recasting Russ would've been better than just having the character completely disappear altogether after season 3. I definitely would've preferred to have seen Russ played by a different actor, because at least that way he would've been present at Brennan's wedding and Max's funeral. It's just so bizarre and nonsensical to not have him attend such important events.

That's a good point. It would have made more sense and if they recast Parker they could have recasted Russ as well.

I can see some potential good storylines after season 3 involving Russ, and it just would have been interesting to see.

Yes it really would have. I mean Brennan went through a lot and it would have been cool to see Russ during all of it.

I agree with that. Brennan and Russ were rebuilding their relationship and it would have been nice to see more of it.
