But if I remember correctly Bones will be up against SG-1, now I'm kinda glad I stopped watching SG-1.
Jenny Good to know I'm not the only one . I suppose it's a good thing I stopped watching SG-1 as well . But SGA and BSG are still on my list, let's wait and see how the SciFi schedule looks like next season.

I know someone said that we're getting re-runs soon. Any idea when FOX will start showing these?

New On DVD - The Producers, The Ringer, When A Stranger Calls

• These Girls - I'm sure that Bones and Angel star David Boreanaz becoming the sex slave of a parade of nubile young girls is the subject of countless fanfic stories, but now, fans can enjoy something more akin to the real thing with this cheeky Canadian sex farce. Boreanaz plays a pot dealer whose affair with his baby's sitter lands him her two friends (and the basis for a letter to Penthouse like no other). It's likeable enough -- think Big Love meets My Tutor by way of Sixteen Candles -- with some sweet performances and decent tunes, which for some, won't be enough to whitewash the whole statutory rape thing.

I just checked TVguide.com. Looks like the first rerun is going to be on 5/31... Only it looks like they're not going to show them in order. *sigh* The episode listed is "The Women At The Airport". Figures they'd show the eps I already have recorded. I shouldn't complain though, right?! At least they're showing them. (So I'll just grumble quietly to myself).

Thanks for the info Becca .

FOX is showing the episodes, but out of order - go figure . Gotta love TV networks . Either way, I hope you'll be able to watch everything you haven't seen over the summer .

Oh, I've already seen them all... multiple times even! I was anxiously awaiting this show before it even started! LOL I just didn't get to record the first 8 or so eps from my Tivo onto disc because I didn't have my DVD recorder yet... so I had to erase them to make more room on the Tivo for other stuff... (dumb me! LOL) Which is why I was grumbling... I wanted the first eps because I think I'm in a video making mood... (which I haven't been in for years now!)

I just read you didn't record them and assumed you missed some episodes . I can understand the grumbling, it drives me nuts when I forget to record something important .

And 'video making mood' sounds good, can't wait to see your creations .

Features: A different kind of boner
-by Terrina Hussein -

New forensic series bones goes behind the red tape.

I know what you’re thinking – not another forensic science series about the people behind cops and paramedics! Not another show that delves into what happens when the cameras stop rolling, and the crime tape comes down!
How many different sides of crime scene investigation can producers come up with? What different test tubes will they be experimenting with in this show?

Yes, Bones is another dramatic take on the science fiction adventure that takes place behind the scenes when a crime is committed.
The one thing that separates Bones from other forensic shows out there today is the fact that the show is based on a series of books, and inspired by a real life forensic anthropologist and novelist, Kathy Reichs.

Reichs is a best-selling novelist, who writes mystery novels, and also lectures at the University of North Carolina. She also works for the North Carolina Office of the Chief Medical Examiner (you know, the key office in all forensic shows), and the Laboratoire des Sciences Judiciares et de Medecine Legale (the French version of the same thing), in Quebec.

Being one of only fi fty forensic anthropologists certified by the American Board of Directors, you can be sure that her books are full of all the juicy stuff that’s edited out of most forensic shows. Until now.
And that, ladies and gentlemen, is why ntv7’s new show is different from the other forensic shows out there today.

Bones is based around the heroine in Reichs’ books, Dr Temperance Brennan. Brought to life by actress Emily Deschanel, Brennan works at the Jeffersonian Institution and writes novels as a side project. Brennan’s scope of interest extends from the test tube and laboratory, and includes medical investigation. Think of her as a cross between a medical examiner and a CSI team member in heels.

She also has an uncanny ability to read clues left behind in a victim’s bones. Because of this ability, the cops call her in to assist with murder investigations when the remains are so badly decomposed, burned, or destroyed that the standard identifi cation methods are useless.Well, they do say it takes a woman to really discover your true self.

As always, the friction sets in when Brennan is teamed up with Special Agent Seely Booth, played by everyone’s favourite evening time drama king David Boreanaz. Booth is a former Army sniper who mistrusts science and scientists when it comes to solving crimes.

And of course, this leads to tension between the two of them, as they try to work together to solve the latest criminal dilemma, while keeping their flirting at a purely professional level (eg just enough to keep the ratings soaring).

Of course, no good forensic/medical examiner is without an equally good team of scientific oddballs. Brennan’s equally brilliant colleagues at the Jeffersonian’s Medico-Legal Lab include earthy and bawdy Angela Montenegro, who’s created a unique way to render an original crime scene in a three dimensional computer image.

There’s also Brennan’s assistant Zack Addy, a young prodigy whose genius IQ actually gets in the way of his finishing the several doctorates he’s begun.

The bug guy, Dr Jack Hodgins, is an expert on insects, spores and minerals, but conspiracy is his hobby. And the whole team is held together by Brennan’s boss, the imposing and dominating lab director Dr Daniel Goodman.

You're welcome

I found this intresting tidbit while checking out the tv guide:

Quote:
Question: At the Fox upfront, it was announced that Bones will be moved to Friday in mid-season. Don't you think this is a bad idea? Friday is a death slot and Bones is an established show that should not be buried because Fox put it on the wrong day. If it starts doing badly in that slot, what do you think is going to happen? Are they going to move it to a different day or let it die? — Lisa

Matt Roush: Everyone's an alarmist. As I suggested in my Dispatch a week ago, it's best not to take very seriously any mid-season announcement Fox makes before next season even begins. (Those with long memories will recall that Fox, for one instance, originally planned to move House to Mondays this mid-season as 24's lead-in. That never happened.) But to answer your question: yes, it's a bad idea. And it probably won't come to that. If it does somehow move to Friday, and if Bones' ratings sink, Fox will take steps to fix it. Fox isn't just going to "let it die." But look at what's working on Fridays: close-ended procedurals like Numbers and Close to Home. A solid piece of work like Bones may not do as badly as you fear.
