You could also see the possibility of Clark moving into a position of being more of a use. It was a powerful episode. They skate the edges all the time with their actions, and they all made it work. A fascinating episode.

It really was. Clark did a great job in that episode and you could see him having a position somewhere down the line.
Everyone was so great in that episode. Angela refusing to testify was great. And Brennan going through in the end and saving Max. __________________

They all were able to blur the lines for their view of justice, and in this case they were all doing in different ways. You shouldn't be rooting for them to flaunt the rules, and yet you did because it gave Brennan more time with her father and to have them rebuild their relationship. Max was a complicated guy!

Perfectly said. You could see Max was a complicated man. He did things that weren't good but he had a reason for doing them. It was hard not to like him and we couldn't help but want him to go free.

You may not totally support what he and his wife did all those years ago. Although I believe Max when he says that he wanted to keep the family together but Christine was worried because everything he did was about protecting his family. But still, it allowed him a chance at getting to know his daughter and her, him. But Max always ended up trying to protect Brennan even when he should stop and let Booth help. Thankfully Booth always knew sometimes when Max was ready to cross the line, and was there to prevent further damage to father and daughter's relationship.

Yes Max really wanted to keep his family together. Max may not have always done the right thing but he always wanted to protect his family.

That was one of the redeeming qualities of the guy was that he would do anything for his kids, and especially to make up for not being there. He so wanted a chance to be there for Brennan and I enjoyed how tried because it wasn't easy all the time but he wanted to try...

Yes he would. I did admire Max for always working on his relationship with Brennan. It was hard but he knew it was worth it.

It was important for Brennan to ultimately settle down with Booth. For her walls to come down, and she needed to make peace with her father and while the baggage would always be there and be painful when a button was pushed. But it allowed them a chance to move on, and to be in each other's lives.

It allowed her to be able to have her Dad, even if they strayed the lines to get Max free. I enjoyed that there were two sides. And it was hard to know which side you really should be on.
