I hated it. It was a weak way to end the season, totally cliched, and confusing.
I'm so frustrated with this show right now. I love it so much but it's steadily declining in its quality. |

I really think that it wasn't Brennan writing this whole thing. I think Brennan wrote only what we saw as voiceovers. She read them alloud so Booth could obviously hear them and he included them in his dream.
Beside the fact that as an author you usually don't write the voice over within the dialogues (see the last AU scene) there are other things that make me believe that: - how Max is portayed: He is corrupt, not reliable and a criminal. While Brennan has a hard time to trust him I can't see her picturing him so bad. She loves him, he's her father and I don't think she would write Booth threatening him the way he did. For me that was Booths interpretation and his over-protectiveness. - then there is Cam. While Brennan knows that Cam was a Cop (or worked for them) she never saw them as one so she doesn't really know what she was like. And I think what we saw came pretty close to what she really was like. Booth however knew her. - Brennan believes that she is incredibly strong, independent and can fight for herself. In this dream she had not one but two men who are so protective of her that one kills and the other would kill. Now while she maybe knows that Booth would do a lot for her I don't think she would include Jared in the scenario. That's just my interpretation, so you're welcome to disagree (*Don't you dare* ). the only thing that doesn't make sense for me (with my theory) is why Booth is dreaming about her, with name and everything and then asks "Who are you?". Don't get it. |

As for him not remembering her, I think he may of just forgotten the dream a bit. I mean, yes, in the dream, he called her by her name and everything, and although he was all "it was so real", he might not remember WHAT exactly was real. And although I have no real knowledge in his area, I think any dream that you'd have in a coma would be EXTREMELY fuzzy, if not completely gone by the time you woke up. Of course, there's always the theory that it wasn't real amnesia at all, that he was simply confused as to whether it was Real!Brennan or AU!Brennan, coming out of that dream, being all hazy and confused and whatnot (yes, Real!Brennan and AU!Brennan look the same, their mannerisms, how they stand, their auras would all be different, so he would be able to tell a difference and be confused). __________________

Hallo guys
Okay first I love this show and I was really excited about the whole final thing. But in the end I don't get it. I mean I understand a lot and I red all your entries, but what I didn't understand is why did everbody told us that the "sex" thing will be no dream and no Halluzinatzion. But wasn't it exactley this in the end ? I mean it was a dream or not ? So please can somebody help me .. thanks a lot |

Wow-- interesting episode, confusing and a bit of a let down....considering what a stellar season it has been.
I liked that all the interns/assistants were in it that was good...... I didn't expect the AU B/B in bed scene to be at the start and it was sort of weird for me have this as the opening scene..... The ending was sad ---- but not as thought provoking and dramatic as any of the previous episode endings of season 4. The Crue rocked ! -- they were probably my fave part of the episode I think the writers tried something with the show and the B/B relationship and maybe it didn't quite come off the way they anticipated.... And with everyones high expectations ( and rightly so) it just kinda fell a bit flat. Hopefully things will be made more clearer in season 5 I thought it was ok - nothing fantastic like the previous 25 episodes - but a season final is supposed to just blow us all out of the water shock us and suprise us and be that extra bit dramatic and leave us wanting more--- like the season 2 and 3 finale - they rocked! This one just left me with a confused look on my face the whole ep Wonder when the season 4 dvd is being released.....it would be nice if they have comentary on this episode....but i doubt it __________________

IMO it could have been better if they had not spent as much time in the dream and cut back-and-forth to the real world (we all knew it was a dream), I get the ending was a hook to bring back the viewers but the 40 minutes before were a let down and much more suited for earlier in the season.
Plus we got no closure on any of the other relationships which ads to the WTF factor everyone is feeling. __________________

Also, I think HH misses the point of why fans want to see the two of them together. The bed scene was awesome, I guess, or potentially could have been... but I didn't want to see them in bed just for the sake of seeing them in bed. They LOVE each other and you can see it every time they look in each other's eyes. Fans want to see the culmination of that, not some phony dream version that was meant to simply hold us off until the writer's decide what to do with the characters. I appreciate the opinion of everybody who enjoyed it... but I thought it was a crap-ass finale and I'm disappointed. |

^ it had its moments of brilliance though, like all the happy stuff, was like...still booth and brennan, like it was still them, just how they would end up if they chose different paths of life. it just means, any way you look at it, they always end up together somehow and so the kisses and shiz, it was still THEM plus it all linked back to real bb so like i dunno, i get that people didnt like it, i mean it did have its crap moments, and wasnt what it was hyped to be, but it was still pretty cool and..i loved it

I loved the episode. I expected it to be AU so I was not that disappointed.
- the VO was pure love - the sex was HOT - Booth and Bones were so cute as married couple and bickering as they always do - I loved Sweets' music - all the interns were hilarious - finally Jared got himself punched by Booth - the end was so heartbreaking , I feel so sad for Brennan. Her face and gasp when Booth said "Who are you" made me bawl . I guess with everything that I expected to come out of the ending, I did not expect THAT! The whole episode was totally self-referential in narration. Amazing. __________________
