I totally didn't picture someone as Willem Dafoe as Mr. Tommy when reading the book. But he's so great. Very interesting casting choice.

While chatting to EW during the Toronto International Film Festival, the actress said she was downright excited about shooting her upcoming thriller A Most Wanted Man soon in Hamburg, Germany. Directed by Anton Corbijn (The American), and costarring Philip Seymour Hoffman and Willem Defore, the movie is based on John le Carre’s 2008 novel about a Chechen former prisoner who arrives illegally in Germany.

McAdams, who plays German civil rights lawyer Annabel Richter, gushed over working with Oscar winner Hoffman, and riding bikes in Hamburg, both new experiences.

“It’s in Hamburg, which I’ve never been to before, and where the book is set,” said McAdams. “Philip Seymour is in it, whom I’m over the moon I get to meet and work with. She’s a great character, this German lawyer. She’s a big bike rider, so I’ll ride around the city a lot.”

As for the privilege of steady, fulfilling work on exotic sets, McAdams was grateful.

“You get to sort dip into a whole new life for a couple of months,” she said. “You get to really sink into this person and understand what they might come from.”

CF just started filming last week and I've read that they're starting with all of PSH's scenes first to clear up his schedule (for AMWM.)

Yeah, it's funny how fast things can go. Although, I do believe Corbijn is working in this for quite some time now. I think the first mention was back in 2011.

I think I read somewhere that Rachel will do a German accent for the movie but I'm not sure, anyone else saw that or did I dream it?

I think I saw something like that too, Aurore. Makes sense, considering that almost all characters talk in German.
I wonder if they are gonna make Rachel speak Russian.
