Yes, or at least the films of Zooey I saw she was always a bit of the nerdy kind of girl. Although, I am hoping they don't want a second Becky Fuller in About Time. But I never saw Rachel repeating herself in portraying a character so I am sure she will create a completely new character.

The opening scene of Morning Glory is perfect, I mean it really shows Becky's awkwardness (which I find adorable)

I just realized I might be right about my assumption that Rachel is cast in "About Time" based on Morning Glory. The script editor/partner of the director tweeted seeing a few of Rachel's films (presumable because she will re-write some bits now that Rachel is replacing Zooey Deschanel) and Morning Glory was the first one

I think Rachel was already in talks for the film when Emma Freud started her dvd spree. But Richard Curtis and Roger Michell know each other - Richard wrote Notting Hill and Roger directed it. It'd be cool if Roger recommended her

Yes, Rachel was already in talks and I don't think Freud was involved in the cast since she is the script editor but I think she might me re-writing because Rachel is cast. Didn't know that about Michell, but would make sense as well

I rewatched this movie today. I had a smile on my face by the end of it. It's too hard not to like Becky.

Rachel had some of the best faces in this movie.

I love many scenes. But the one where she's wearing her "I Do" shirt and she gets fired kills me everytime.

I agree, there's so many of them!

I loved it when she went to go find Mike while he's out hunting. She's following him laden with her big purse and heels. The way she smiled at him and nodded while Mike was having none of it was so funny.

And of course that whole sequence at the end with the dress. Gorgeous.
