I'm not really surprised. I can't think of many bad movies with incredible DVD features; it just doesn't work that way.

I mean in general, like the movie poster and now the dvd box, I mean what is that? And they were impressed enough with her work that they hired her to do another movie for them, but they care about the first one? idk its just a huge let down.

I don't know why the movie not being great would stop them doing a commentary at least, though. It still made money I don't know why they'd be like "Well the movie didn't turn out so good, so lets not bother talking about it" hee. It could have been so hilarious with the cast, it would have made up for the movie being disappointing! I'm sure it would have automatically been 10000x better than the Couples Retreat commentary.

Especially since they had kristen and josh do the commentary on that one scene! I thought for sure that meant they were doing commentary on the whole thing. its just really weird that they put so much into promoting it on tv and such, but just completely dropped the ball every where else.

yea im pretty bummed .. usually i dont even bother listening to the commentary though unless its someone worth listening to

My local theater still has 5 show times during the day for this movie, more than Avatar

I think I might go one more time while its still in theaters.

is it just me or is dvds and blu rays coming out faster than usual cuz precious and up in the air didnt come out that long ago and they are already out on dvd 4-5 months too.. didnt it use to be longer? i was checking other dvds cuz i remember i was surprised when in rome was coming out to dvd so fast

yea but old dogs didnt even come out that long either and its already out on dvd thats why i am getting confused cuz i keep going didnt i just see that trailer not to long ago why is it already out on dvd

It happens every year that Oscar nominated movies get pushed out, often without extensive special features, to capitalize on the pre and post-Oscar fervor to see those movies. As for dross like Old Dogs, it's probably the studio really not giving a damn. With a family movie like that, taking the time to add a lot of special features wouldn't affect the sales of the DVD one bit. The target demographic for that movie isn't made up of people who care about how the movie was made or what scenes were cut out.

Release date for this blu ray and dvd has been changed to June 15.

The original date was for May 18th so it was delayed about a month, I just got an email from Amazon about it because I made a pre-order.

Only two reasons I can think of that its delayed. #1 they think this new date will sell better for them based on what other movies are released. Or #2 they are adding more extras since the original lacked, like a digital copy or something. I hope for #2
