^ I agree. It wasn't in Riley to get super-rebellious, even with Maya as her partner-in-crime. She could only get to rebellious-adjacent or rebellious-lite, which was what Topanga knew too.

^ That was fun! I think Cory would have said the same thing to Riley if he had been the parent that Riley was having a difference of opinion/disagreement with.

^ You know that's right. I had watched Topanga grow up and had seen her in some of her more moments, and even I was scared of her intensity in that moment. I don't know how Riley wasn't the least bit worried about angering/upseting her mom by defying her.

Yeah, that seemed pretty ooc for Riley imo, I guess she just thought that because she was her daughter, Topanga wouldn't go full shark on her

^ I can buy that. It seemed like Riley thought that Topanga wouldn't get upset and dish out a harsh punishment, just because it was the first or one of the rare occasions in which Riley defied her. That episode is really hard for me to watch.

^ Exactly. The fact that they were both crushed that they had had a conflict showed how rarely they fought/had a disagreement.

^ I could tell. I wanted them to really dig deep into their conflict when they did reconcile. I think it would have really good for them to take a closer look at why things got so bad between them, because it would have helped them avoid another huge devastating fight further down the road.

^ Yes, indeed. I hope that their fight in Girl Meets Her Monster made an impact on them, that they should consider each other's feelings/sides when they do disagree or have a conflict about something in the future. I think keeping that consideration in mind would lessen the intensity of their disagreements/conflicts, which would make resolving them so much easier.
