Well so far she's still Hart, who knows what happens next... I could see her being proud to carry his name ;)

^ You bet she would carry his name proudly. If TPTB do change Maya's last name, then I hope that we get a scene where Shawn asks her if she would be willing to make the change. :fingers_crossed:

I'd see her going around telling everyone like "Hey, Maya Hunter, how you doing?"

I love Shawn being Maya's stepdad, but I want Maya to keep her name. I don't know what it is, but Maya Hart just sounds right to me, I can't imagine it being any other way :sigh:

^ Half of the time, I want her to be Hart, and the other half of the time, I want her to either be Hunter or Hart-Hunter. It really depends on the day that you ask me what my preference is. :good_bad: :lol:

I really loved how, in a Christmas Maya, Maya didn't want to drive Shawn away with her and her mother's crazy Christmas traditions. It was so amazing how she realized that she is so lucky to have him in her life and vice versa, considering they're both having to deal with bad Christmas memories. :slinkie: :in_love: :pinkie:

Me too, & I think that now they've had Christmas, Maya won't worry about anything else anymore. She knows that Shawn isn't going anywhere and they're really a family now :love:

I don't know that she could ever stop completely though... she's too used to it :(

^ I agree. She knows how quickly and how badly things can go wrong, but she is always going to try to have hope that good things can happen to her. She will be thankful for all the good things in her life, but she will also be prepared for disappointment. :yay: :good_bad: :viking:

I think she will deal with things as they come. I hope that she and Shawn enjoyed their first proper Christmas celebration. I think it will have to take many, many good days for them both to trust in what they have. :nod:

^ Yes, and that is why they are such a great pair. Shawn knows what's going on in Maya's head, because he felt how Maya felt when he was her age. Maya is more accepting of Shawn's words and actions, because she knows that everything he says or does comes from a place of love and that his gestures are meant to heal the hurt that she has felt. :slinkie: :in_love: :pinkie:

And she can turn to him and barely need to say anything and he'll understand where she is because he's been somewhere similar...

Definitely, Maya needs someone like that in her life, no one else has ever really understood her in that way :sigh:
