^ That's true. Maybe Shawn would have tried harder if he had had specific post-secondary plans/goals. Did he ever mention what he was going to do after he graduated from high school?

Hmm, I can't remember any scenes where he did. We did have that episode early on in s5 where he realized he wanted to go to college, then in the finale he was torn between college & that photography job, but I think that was it...

^ I remember those moments. I would have loved it if TPTB had taken a few moments to actually tell us what Shawn planned to do after he graduated from high school. It would have let us see how he wanted his life to turn out.

I get the feeling that he probably didn't really think about his future in those early years, as he probably didn't have very high hopes for how things were going to turn out for him
