I've noticed that too. It was a huge moment for them. Up to that moment, I hadn't really considered them as a potential romantic pairing. After that moment, I've been looking forward to re-watching their previous scenes with shippy eyes and I've been looking for shippy moments.


If TPTB don't have them as a romantic pairing, then the least that I'd want them to do is to show Lucas and Maya the way they used to be before the big revelation in Texas.

You've given me a lot to think about. Right now, I'm in the 'wait and see' camp. Let's see how it turns out.

Yeah not everyone finds their true love in highschool. In fact, most dont. So making R/L realize they are just friends is the right way to go.

I haven't seen the episode yet so I cant really comment on it. How much R/L was there?

The writers were strange with that "they make the wrong decisions" quote. its odd that they wrote that right after it aired. And also they said that two couples will happen which will later spark a third couple. This isnt a spoiler because nothing in spoilers indicates an answer to that. So im confused on what they meant. Did they mean Lucas/Maya and Riley/that boy she was flirting with ended with R/L? That wouldnt make sense because its not like Riley and Laurens son had anything deeper, they just talked a bit. So I am very lost.

Exactly. I was fine with them being friends before they teased everything, then i wanted more. But if they arent gonna give us LM as a couple then at least can we have the friendship back? Jeez.

I am personally choosing to remain hopeful that these two may happen for real down the line. It does seem to me that they are setting up R/L to fail, I will just have to wait and see what happens I guess.

As far as I know, there was no R/L in Hollywood. Interesting that.

I go back & forth, but at the moment I'm choosing to remain hopeful - when I started shipping these two, I always knew that it was going to be a long, tough journey!

36 was just a touch, but its so cute! 37 was a great conversation but it felt more friendly in nature to me than romantic. but its definitely between those two because the others are just too good. AHHH. but i have to go with 37. Its just that i love how lucas tries to comfort her in 36.
