I don't know, I kind of enjoyed it bc of the comedy aspect. And Eric did have his moments where his old self would show. So it wasn't like he was completely different.

I think I remember Michale Jacobs explaining it too, but I don't recall what he said. I do remember Rider and Will joking once that as Shawn got smarter, Eric got dumber.
