^ Yes, he was. He thought he was losing Rachel to Jack. I love that Jack recognized that the best way for them to be on an equal footing was to cash in his IOU by asking Rachel for a peanut butter and jelly sandwich.

^ That's true. Eric's default setting when he was around Jack and Rachel was obsessed and freaked-out. I wish he had considered the possibility that his reactions to Jack standing within five feet of Rachel might have made him less attractive to her.

^ Oh, right. I love that the trio tried to help Alan see that he was going through a middle-age crisis and that the baby, not a motorcycle, was going to make him feel young. Alan picking that moment to drop by got Eric to stop reading about childbirth and sharing those fun facts with Jack and Rachel. They must have been so happy at Alan's perfect timing.

Oh yeah, it was so cute & funny how Eric got into all that stuff!

& it showed how mature all three of them were imo, with how they were able to talk Alan through that moment

^ Oh, yeah. Eric was so excited that he was going to get another sibling. He wanted to learn everything he could about pregnancy. Clearly Rachel and Jack didn't appreciate that Eric was telling them every detail that he was learning in his book. I hope he was more selective of what he shared with them after he realized that he was grossing them out. =p

Oh, for sure. It helped that Rachel and Jack recognized the signs of what Alan was going through, because their own fathers had gone through the same thing. I love that that moment was a trio/Alan moment when it could have easily been an Eric/Alan moment. I think it meant a lot to Alan that all three of them thought he was a great father, especially Rachel and Jack who weren't related to him by blood.
