That is one of my favorite Cory and Boy Meets World moments. I always get a chill when I think about it.

Me too! It's so important, & I love how it was so early on in the show, & when Cory was pretty young, because I don't think kids should be shielded from those kind of lessons

& it's still as relevant today as it was back then

^ I can't agree with you more. Cory thought he was going to win his bet with Mr. Feeny so easily, but when he saw that the themes in The Diary of a Young Girl still applied decades after World World II, his world view changed a little. I think it changed him. It really was a powerful moment/episode.

It was, I think that lesson stayed with him forever, as well as learning how hard it is to teach, but also how important that job is

It would have been a great connection/callback/parallel of that Boy Meets World scene.
