So, since I got the DVD, I've watched it 25x. It's seriously, just so amazing!

Okay, so, who's everyone's fave character....I guess, other than Evey, for those of you who would automatically say her. ;)

Mine is Finch, I just love him! I love how it's just as much his story, as it is V and Evey's.

Yes, I liked Finch as well, but I thought John Hurt as the Chancellor was frightening. So incredibly Big Brother-ish. It's so George Owell's 1984, it's not even funny!

From IMDB Trivia...

Quote:

Natalie Portman looked forward to shaving her head totally bald for the role of Evey Hammond during the torture scenes, stating that she has wanted to do it for a long time.
And I thought this was incredible -

Quote:

The domino scene (where V tips over black and red dominoes to form a giant letter V) involved 22,000 dominoes, was assembled by four professional domino assemblers, and took 200 hours to set up.
The cinematographer is this man, Adrian Biddle, and I think he did an amazing job. This movie is dedicated to him by the way (he died December 2005).

I love that domino scene. I liked Finch as well.

goodbreakingbad 08-08-2006 07:28 PM

Yeah, the domino moment was just incredible.

goodnightboy 08-11-2006 12:50 AM

It was, wasn't it? Such a stark image. Red and black dominoes, falling down...like things setting into motion.

goodbreakingbad 08-11-2006 01:07 AM

I loved how it went with everything else actually occurring at that moment.

Are there deleted scenes on the DVD? :look:

Tina 08-13-2006 01:17 PM

Jess: I don't think so... I didn't see them. Maybe Anji can give you a surer answer since she actually owns it. :)

hanzo 08-13-2006 06:46 PM

Yes I've also watched it about 20 times since buying the special edition DVD. Such an amazing movie. I can't think of any recent films (certainly not action films no less) that have such an intricate and deeply layered plot. Just amazing really. BTW have you all seen the site thefutureisours.com a friend of mine said that the V for vendetta costume was worth more than his (modern) car lol.

goodbreakingbad 08-13-2006 08:35 PM

No deleted scenes.

You sound just as obsessed as me.

Tina 08-14-2006 09:50 AM

Hanzo: What is your favorite scene... favorite character? :)
Anji: Thanks! I wasn't sure... and totally... another Anji. :P

goodbreakingbad 08-14-2006 08:23 PM

Nope, I'm the one and only. :P

I'm watching it again now.

goodnightboy 08-15-2006 08:24 AM

Really? And did anyone buy it? Wow.

Again! This will be the what, 500th time? :P

Tina 08-15-2006 10:42 AM

Anji:  Alright... true... there is only one Anji. :)
If you are watching it for the 500th time... you must know all the lines, you know?

When did everyone like Evey the most? When she had hair in the beginning or when she became shaved at the end?

goodbreakingbad 08-15-2006 10:46 PM

Nope, just 29x so far.

I preferred Evey later after the rebirthing, much stronger, obviously, but just....she has this persona about her as well.
