So I watched the peek again, you can see the uneasiness from Derek when Maggie mentions the brain mapping thing, and he said all the "right" things

I noticed that right away. I sensed MerDer tension. They were putting on a facade for her.

I still wish that her failing at general was intentional... general = Finn.

It reminds me of the beginning of 10x24 when Derek acted like Mer was excited about moving to D.C, but you could tell that she wasn't by her gestures.
