I know...I've had a feeling about that will myself from the first time he mentioned it that it might be coming back eventually. This just might be the time... Rewatched the episode, and the promo last night though, and Denny's dad said something about Denny not telling her the whole truth, which I couldn't help but get an ominous feeling from. I can only hope I'm wrong there...*crosses fingers*

Hmmm...I never really considered the possibility that he might've had a wife and kids back in Memphis, and that something dark and twisty might've happened there, but I have to admit that is certainly possible. Plus, it would help explain why none of his family was there for him during his illness... And yeah, I got the impression that something unexpected, and unwanted was going to come of this as well after rewatching... And that just makes me sad...

Well put...I agree completely... And I'm sure Izzie will bounce back eventually, it's just going to take a little more time. Maybe this letter Denny's father gives her, and the truth that comes with it will help as well like you say...at least I'm hoping so.

I don't want Denny dark and twisty. That's just plain wrong especially after a character's death . That is without a doubt one of the biggest no-no to do in writing. It's similar to a character assasination. Not to mention why would Shonda turn Denny into a bad light after saying she wrote Denny, specifically, as husband she always wanted and a downright good person . She said this so many times in blogs, interviews, and podcasts. A dark and twisty revelation doesn't match IMO. Personally, from the way the promo was edited Denny's dad says "He didn't tell you the truth". Notice Izzie is about to walk out, and standing. It was a reply to what she said "why would a father abandon his dying son!!!". It's about Denny and his father connection, and why they were estranged. Maybe Denny didn't want his family too see him in so much pain.

I don't buy making Denny dark twisty after all what Shonda has said about Denny being a person she would marry and a good person. Just doesn't fit. Ah...think the cup half full . Not the cup half empty. If they do a dark and twisty revelation about Denny, then I'm seriously thinking the writing team is in trouble.

Oh there's no way Shonda would make Denny dark and twisty, it just couldn't happen. I believe that it's to do with the estrangment from his family. It's the only thing that makes sense, or maybe it's to do with his past, but it's something that's not related to Izzie.

I really hiope that it's a handwritten letter, with a copy of his will inside the envelope. It would be adorable if he left her something. And it would be so like him to get all that done just in case something happened to him, after all, he wouldn't want to leave his fiancee with nothing, now would he?

I highly doubt Meredith is pregnant. A) she never slept with Finn, so it's not like it's hard to tell who's baby it is, and B) because we've all ready had the baby storyline twice on the show all ready, once with Cristina and once with Bailey... And a third if you want to include Izzie being a mommy. So somehow I think it's going to be a false alarm, it just doesn't feel real.

Man, I agree with you completely...I don't want Denny turned into someone all dark and twisty either. Was somehow just the latest of the feelings I got about the storyline, based on his father's mannerisms toward Izzie where he was concerned... Frankly, I could be completely offbase, and honestly, I hope I am...even more so in light of Shonda's prior comments about him...

Somehow, something like this would probably make more sense given what we already know about Denny up to this point. Still, that doesn't explain what a letter might have to do with that whole mess...or why his dad would have a letter to give to Izzie at Denny's request in the first place if they were estranged. Unless that was simply something he'd arranged in his will or something... Honestly, I'm stumped here...good thing there's only a few more days left before we find out because the suspense of it is killing me...

I'm fairly certain you're probably right anyway... Was just the latest in theories that was floating through my head...then again, it was almost 4 am when I rewatched the promo...that alone should tell me my thoughts probably didn't have as much credibility...

Oh. that's simple. You answered it in your post, and it's the most logical solution . The letter was with his will . Being they are the family members. It's not uncommon for family members to give out things the deceased would like to give out to friends or boyfriends/girlfriends. That's the first thought I though of. This works for estranged family or not. Not to mention his body was sent to Memphis to his family. Which where the will goes to. The primary recipient which looks like to be his father. That's the theory I'm going with until the episode airs. Along with no dark and twist Denny . Yea, the suspense is killing me too. I want to know .

I swear if they pull that garbage, then they are no worse than Smallville land writers IMO.

Chris is "supposely" should be leaving this week because he is not on the casting calls for EP3.05 . At least I didn't see him on the list when I saw it. The bun in the oven could mean the promo theory with Meredith, or actually the Addison rumor that is going around. Who knows on both counts

I believe Kristin. I'm sorry, but it sounds that someone is indeed going to have a baby. Kristin didn't use the phrases "maybe" "perhaps" "might be". This is a fact! And if it's not Meredith I have no clue who it is And I think it's Meredith. It wouldn't make sense if it's another of the ladies. Or do you think it could also be Addison? Then this baby is Derek's. I hope not!

I'm not saying you can't believe her . Nor did I say "no was going to be pregnant" either. I said it could be Meredith or the Addison rumor that she is referring to. I'll tell you one thing I do not take what Kristin says as fact. I take it as a grain of salt. She has been misled purposely by many people before. Heck, for Buffy she said Dawn was going to die then she changed it to Buffy then she changed it to Xander . That's one incident I can name on a very long long list that includes Angel and Smallville on her inaccuracies. There are times where she is right, but there are times where she is wrong. It's up to us to speculate and put the pieces together, but the only accuracy you'll ever know is when the episode airs. Personally, I think the preggie by Merdith is a scare, and it will lead up to one of the girls getting pregnant later this season. Addison is on rumor status right now of being pregnant at the end of this season. I heard that long before Kristin's lastest spoiler . It's been going through the grapevine for a while now lol. I was frankly surprised how slow she was to report it lol.

Plus it can make sense if one of the girls gets pregnant because she didn't say it was going to happen right now. She said specificially "season". Which means anytime. So if any of the girls have sex, then yea they can get pregnant lol.

ETA: Plus the baby also can be Mark's . She did sleep with Mark as well .

You're right. It could be anyone during this season. Not especially in the next few episodes. The season just started. Could also be Izzie ... at the end of the season. Okay, just wishful thinking Or Callie. I like her and I can imagine George as a father.

I didn't hear about the rumor that Addie might be pregnant at the end of the season. Yes, than it's more possible that Mark is the happy father.
