Thanks Joseba for the new thread and title. They are great. Earlier, you said that George admitting to Callie, that he had slept with Izzie was disappointing. I totally agree. Hopefully next week will show that it was just his opening line to ease into saying that he now realizes that the marriage is over and that he loves Izzie. But when I first heard it, it wasn't enough for me. It was like he was putting the ball in her court so that she could say, "What? You cheated? I'm done with you" instead of spelling it out. Hopefully I am wrong.

As for Katie's return to comedy

I love these:

Izzie to the "Really old guy": Ach! You know what? You wanna die? Fine, here let me help you. You missed this one. Damn, you're still with us. No, wait, this looks promising, a nice thick wire. How's that, any luck? No? Well, no wonder, that's why, it's attached to this lamp. Okay, let's see whatelse we got"

Izzie to Meredith (and so well deserved):
Okay, I have a really old guy trying to kill himself off and problems of my own. So I don't have time for the two of you and your fake drama.

Charlie to Izzie: Dead man walking
Izzie to Charlie: Not so much walking, Charlie.

I loved this episode. The comedy is definitely back.

Okay friends, here are my thoughts about the way George told Callie. It's one thing to say, I slept with Izzie. It's another to say, I'm in love with her and am leaving you. The way Callie approaches Izzie in the promos, that is NOT a girl who has just learned that her husband is IN LOVE with another woman. I've also noticed that while we are getting progress, TPTB are really drawing this out. So maybe George only tells Callie that he slept with Izzie because he was drunk, because for whatever reason he chooses or is unable to tell her the whole truth.

Callie is still incredibly hurt, but she wants to believe that's all it is so she goes to Izzie determined and confident that her marriage is fine but having something she needs to do or say (no idea what it is).

Which means George still has to tell Callie that he loves Izzie and is leaving her, which we know will ultimately happen, but it would probably happen towards the end of episode four.

And this would explain why Callie isn't reacting the way we'd expect, why George is running through the hospital (to tell Izzie before she assumes Callie knows the WHOLE truth maybe), and it would allow the show to drag this out one step further. It's not much different than Addison assuming Meredith was a fling to Derek, and then him telling her later that she wasn't just a fling, that she was more than that.

Also, could someone post Joe and Debbie's blogs? I can't access them at work.

I completely agree. Callie knows about the affair, but has no idea that her husband is in love with another woman or that her marriage will soon--God, I hope anyway--be toast. Izzie's reaction to that will be intersting to see. I'm sure she'll be stunned and hurt that George didn't tell Callie the whole truth at the time.

Hmmm… Now, I’m curious. A – What does George have to tell? B – Who does George have to tell it to? And 3 – Why does tonight have to be the night? Like I said, secrets have a way of coming out. Especially around here.

Maybe it has something to do with Callie? Nurse Debbie’s been telling me George and Callie have been going through some trouble for a while now. I didn’t really want to believe it – because I, for one, really want those two to last…

Yeah they have their problems. Yeah Callie’s a little bit crazy. Yeah it’s true that their marriage wasn’t born under the best of circumstances. But still… Callie’s responsible for a lot of good in O’Malley’s life. Remember how she stood by and supported George during his father’s illness? Remember when – and I know this is a touchy subject but – remember when GEORGE SLEPT WITH MEREDITH? My man was totally wrecked. But Callie came in and, well, got George back on his feet. I’m going on record to say that I like George and Callie together. They’re good for each other. But, it sounds like something’s up… Who knows what it could be…

Maybe Callie’s fallen in love with somebody else. McSteamy? McDreamy? The Chief?! Ha! Or maybe it’s George who’s shifted his attention. Cristina? Bailey? Izzie?! Ha!! Yeah right. Could you imagine? I wanted to ask Interns Steve and Mitch more about what they’ve seen, but Alex literally shooed them away. He said he couldn’t be seen in the presence of first year interns. Drunk first year interns at that.

Luckily, Nurse Debbie came to the rescue. She offered to drive Steve home. Said she only had half a sip of a wine cooler and, besides, Steve’s place was on her way. Yeah, right, Deb. I could tell by the way she was staring… Deb thought Steve was cute. Drunk. But cute.

I wasn’t going to let either of them drive home. So, I put both of them in a cab and slipped the driver a twenty. See what a good friend I am? I know, I know…

Well, I better get to bed. The faster I fall asleep, the sooner I can wake up… And enjoy another one of Walter’s fabulous waffles. (My little wake-up plan I told you about seems to be working. Thankfully.) Have a good night everybody!

And about the episode, I (again) liked Izzie, she's being so fun, but I can't say much more because right now all I can do is wait for the next episode to see the reactions

I am frustrated that the writers are going at such lengths to draw everything out with Izzie/George/Callie. Even any major devolpment with that storyline doesn't even happen till the last minute of every episode. And then when I heard George say "I slept with Izzie" and then the cut to the credts, I knew that they had done it again.

Hopefully we're proven wrong and George really does tell Callie the extent of what actually is going on (him being in love with Izzie) after the fade to black. But, like you said, the Callie that's in the previews doesn't look likes she's been broken and shattered by the realization that her husband is in love with someone else. No, it just looks like a woman who realized that her husband cheated on her and is pissed and wants to have a little talk with the Izzie.

So I bet in the last minute of next weeks ep is when we will see George finally sit Callie down and admit that it was more than just sex, and that the marriage can't be saved. Because, from the previews, it doesn't look like Callie has just signed divorce papers. I think she could say it was "drunken sex" but they can work through it because they're married.

I am a bit pessimistic here guys and I need you to calm me down. It just seemed when Charlie was saying sure, it is true love in that mocking tone they were making fun of all the Gizzie fans thinking it is true love and making it seem like it was just sex and he would never leave Callie. And the Grey Matter blog makes it seem like Charlie was right and George won't leave Callie and Izzie will get her heart broken. I am just scared they have let the backlash get to them and they are rewriting this as not a love story.

And it is me or there was almost no emotional-loving scenes with Gizzie like there sued to be, you think they are shying away from that?

I just do not feel that optimistic right now

And whoever said they loved TR's voice, I do too, I love how soft it gets at time like when he said I will tell her, his voice got so sweet and tender, and that always makes me fall in love with him more, I thought I was the only one. I tjhink he rewatched the Sesame streety clip so much just because I love how sexy his voice sounds, LOL, pathetic, right?

You know what? I bet Callie won't sign the divorce papers and will try to make Izzie and George suffer with this stuff. But I can't wait for that cat fight in next weeks episode, should be fun.

ostee (I think) pointed out this. Charlie says, and not in a mocking tone: maybe you're right, maybe it's true love, and you live happily (or something like that LOL) but I won't be here to see it. And then he dies.

I did not get an anti-Gizzie vibe from the episode and blog at all. AT ALL. Everything Charlie was saying might have been true in his wisdom, but it became irrelevant when George told Callie. He told her.
