At the end right? I am sad Burke left it all to her instead of them working together. But I guess I can't be greedy. At least he admitted he is still attracted to her. :(

yes. their last conversation was brutal. and they didn't even hug. i wanted more! i mean, i get that them being together was probably not going to happen, but him leaving her his hospital? i can't!

BUT HOW COOL WAS THAT HOLOGRAM THING!? cristina's getting the sendoff of all sendoffs!

That was AMAZING. I am so glad she is moving on to outstanding things but man they crushed us. When they started to show is family, I felt a little sad on the inside, haha. :(

Really happy Cristina is getting the send off she deserves.

Loved this episode!
Cristina is truly getting a royal send off. Kinda feel sad for Mer Der to be stuck in a hospital fighting over one printer while Cristina has 49 of them.

At the beginning, I was thinking bringing IW back was a publicity stunt. I didn't feel the need for closure at first. I thought Cristina was strong enough to get past that...so I was ok with the "moving on" stuff romantically...

But as a Team... OMG...mighty glad they made him to come back for an excting send off...this had been burktina all along...#CardioGods

ohhh...and yeah I ♥ that episode for that.
...and the japril small ray of sunshine (sorry had to put that in, shipper's ♥)

I'm conflicted. The Burktina and Mertina storyline was exceptionally well-written, as was Derek and Amelia's patients' storyline. The writers did a great job there, I just felt like everyone else was randomly thrown into the episode and they felt out of place, especially Bailey and the residents. Idk, just my opinion.

Richard and Mer's moment was good too. I liked Richard in this episode again. He really is meant to be chief.

The chief was a complete mess IMO. He came across like a bitter old fool.

Great episode. I loved Burke/Cristina and the twins case. I've been wishing for a big case like that, I just wish they'd have given it more screentime. I agree that the cast is so big and they wanna tell stories with 2 scenes and it just doesn't have the same impact.

darkxtwisty 05-01-2014 08:11 PM

It's not realistic to tell a quality balanced storyline with so many characters. Hopefully losing a few will help with that balance next year.

pink_duchess 05-01-2014 08:16 PM

yeah...looking at the whole picture kinda not cohesive. Which kind of how greys had been lately...The need to put in something for everyone.

Burktina's SL was so strong it kind of overshadowed important SL...the shepherds and alex's absence ...though 2 more episodes to address this...so expect it to be cramped!

the only tied up SL was japril's but are they letting them take a backseat on the last 2 episodes though?

feels like season's just starting and not ending...

darkxtwisty 05-01-2014 08:24 PM

Definitely looks like Japril is on the back burner for now. I think they're doing with Japril what they did with MerDer earlier in the season... Neglecting the real issue for the time being. I think it'll come back up next season, because I think they're going to focus on Mertina and MerDer's family/work balance in the last two episodes.

True, but understandable when you consider that he was expecting to come back from Boston engaged and instead flushed that relationship, with the future of his hospital suddenly looking just as bleak.
