Do you think they will heat up for a moment then have to back away and cool things? They did it on Chicago Fire with Casey and Dawson and it established that there is something there but wait a season to do it with them. It could be the same for Lindstead too I think.

I hope they will tease us with something more than last episode scenes but nothing major or labelled and then we get until S2 of them getting closer inch by inch....

I don't want a copy of Dawsey's journey but I think they won't have it being different by getting Linstead together RIGHT now and all lovely dovely in love until end of the season for example and then breaking them up, after establishing their relationship like that.

I'm so curious about this page in writers' room when there have Linstead all worked out.

I am thinking that they have a fall out once they get closer than pulls them back. Maybe a disagreement that has them not talking for some time. I know they are going to calm them down but something has to trigger that I think because right now they seem to be moving a little fast from last episode.

Yes, and that trigger that will have them step back is what I'm curious the most, what it'll be exactly.

Maybe them being professionals as they both are, they will agree that the Unit is their priority and that they can't jeopardize that by letting their feelins take the charge. And then we get episodes of them filling that void by other hook ups and then in S2 realizing what really matters is THEM.

Do you think that Jay is the hook up type? From Chicago Fire he seemed like a relationship guy but I don't mind hook ups to try and get past feelings.

She is connected to the Lonnie case obviously and we know how sensitive subject it is for him so he might switch his focus to that thus the cooling things off with E...

That can be a trigger too. Especially if he see's her with Severide first and thinks that the feelings are one sided for him.

I like that she uses the layers to describe them because it means that they will get a build up I think.

I think she referred the layers to her history actually but it's connected to him too thus I'm sure we'll be having this slow travel to this happy place we already can see in our heads..
