It's probably too long, though. Maybe "it could become a problem if two young people who ride in a car all day together are attracted to each other". I'm not sure, but something along the lines of that.

I like that she mentioned 'saving' her relationship with Jay so I am guessing that means a long build up for them.

That's how I read it too. That they don't want to rush anything and make it meaningless but give it a proper base to make it last and be something more than just a fling that stirs s h i t.
